I have really fallen off the wagon sharing Humane League of Lancaster County Pets of the Week! We just visited last week to pick up insulin for our cat, Patches, and got to see some of these cuties. If you’re ready to add a new furry friend to your family, consider one of these love bugs!
Friendly and inquisitive Sissy is ready to share her lovable personality with a caring family! She was brought to the shelter in May because her family was allergic to her and, sadly, was unable to keep her. At just a year old, Sissy has a whole life of loving and exploring to do! Sissy thrives in laid-back environments where she can enjoy playtime with people and other cats, but can also retreat to a cozy hideaway for well-deserved cat naps throughout the day. Sissy is litter box trained, spayed, and up to date on all of her vaccinations. Sissy loves gentle affection from adults, she has lived with kids in her previous home, and she can’t wait to begin a wonderful new life with you!
“Hello, I’m Maxie! I am a 6 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix. I am a very sweet and affectionate girl. My ideal day would be to lay around the house and receive as much love as possible. Don’t get me wrong, though, I do love to play! I haven’t met many dogs here at the shelter, but I do think I would want to be the boss in your household, so… if you already have a pup, we should probably get acquainted before you take me home. I can tell you that I love to chase cats, so a home without those tempting felines is what I am looking for. I have been hanging out in the front office here at the Humane League and I like to keep watch over everything. I seem to be housebroken and I’m a smart gal, so hopefully I would adjust quickly to a new routine in your home. If you’re looking for a low-key cuddle bug, than that’s me! I can’t wait to meet you and I promise to greet you with a ton of kisses!”
Ernie is one cool cat who oddly enough, doesn’t have a brother named Bert. Ernie is a very loving cat and likes to get your attention by rubbing up against your leg. Ernie’s idea of a perfect day would be snuggling into bed so if you have any comfortable spots at home, you can bet that that’s where Ernie is going to be. Ernie doesn’t need constant attention but he is looking for a loving family who will have time to sit down and pet him every now and again. Ernie enjoys the company of other laidback cats and he is adept at using the litter box. If you’re looking for a laid back cat with a relaxed attitude, Ernie is your perfect match!
If you’re interested in learning more about Maxie you can visit the Humane League of Lancaster County during their adoption hours (be sure to check the website for hours), or email dogadoptions@humaneleague.com. Interested in Sissy or Ernie? Email catadoptions@humaneleague.com
