I was provided with complimentary Good Boy Organics Yellow Barn Pasta Sauces to facilitate this review. The opinions in this post are 100% mine. You can read my full disclosure policy here.

I ‘met’ Good Boy Organics for the first time when I was introduced to their delicious snacks (check out my review – they’re amazing!).  I totally fell in love with this brand that somehow makes a healthy product that also tastes amazing.  You need both, right?  If it doesn’t taste good, doesn’t really matter how health it is. My kids are going to take a pass. Good Boy Organics also makes a line of pasta sauces, Yellow Barn Biodynamics, that are also organic and hands down the best pasta sauces I’ve ever tasted!

Yellow Barn Biodynamics

Here are six of the seven varieties (sorry, we ate one before I got a pic but it’s in the next photo!) that they make.

  • Tomato Basil
  • Puttanesca
  • Arrabbiata
  • Roasted Eggplant
  • Tomato Concentrate
  • Tomato Puree
  • Passata Country Tomato

Chili

The first recipe we whipped up with the Yellow Barn sauces was our Slow Cooker Turkey Chili.  We subbed the Passata Country Tomato for some of the diced tomatoes and it was amazing! You can totally taste the difference in these sauces. They are SO fresh and flavorful.

There are only 6 ingredients in our Yellow Barn Biodynamic® Pasta Sauces, and everything but the salt is grown on Demeter® certified Biodynamic® farms. You should feel good about that, because they come from an sustainable, organic source dedicated to holistically managed, self-sustaining ecosystems. You should also feel good because everyone’s going to ask for seconds at dinner.

Yellow Barn Eggplant

The  next sauce we tried was the Yellow Barn Roasted Eggplant. This was SO delicious!  I just served it over some bow tie pasta and the kids loved it.  See how thick and rich it is? Not watery at all. It sits on top of the pasta and doesn’t run all over the plate so you can get a good hunk of it when you fork those noodles up.  Yum!

Yellow Barn Arrabiata

This one was my husband’s favorite, the Yellow Barn Arrabiata.  This one has a bit of kick to it with some red pepper on the ingredients list. He loves stuff that’s hot and I really liked it too. I’m not as big of a fan of hot sauces but it wasn’t overpowering. Just enough to give it some heat and a different flavor.

My personal favorite was the Puttanesca which is made with black olives and capers. That one was so unique and amazingly delicious!  The kids loved the Tomato Basil sauce that I served with stuffed shells the other night.

Yellow Barn Biodynamic Sauces Are:

  • Certified USDA Organic
  • Demeter Certified Biodynamic
  • Certified Kosher
  • Gluten-Free
  • Non-GMO

They harvest the tomatoes at peak ripeness and the jar them within 6 hours of picking. Whoa! No wonder they taste so fresh and flavorful.

Find the store closest to you that carries Good Boy Organics brand and keep your eyes peeled.  They’re also available on Amazon.  Soooo good! You can really taste the difference. Be sure to follow Good Boy Organics on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to speed with all their latest products!
