While spending all of this time at home can get uncomfortable, we are trying to find the silver linings. We have more time with our families, and I am hoping that on the other side of this, we’ll have made a few memories. Use this free printable to tally up the memorable things you’ve done while staying home.
How is everyone spending their time while they’re staying home right now? I’ve got two older kids at home, and we’re trying to stave off boredom (as much as humanly possible) and make a few memories along the way.
This is painful in many ways, but I’m trying to find the things to be grateful for and the unexpected family time is at the top of my list.
We are no longer running to practice every night, hustling to get homework done, or responding to 100 emails (because my work is pretty dried up right now, too) all day and night. And while the we are missing our routine, our structure,we are also enjoying the relaxed pace.
We sleep in, we enjoy a family walk every day, we play games, and we’ve watched a LOT of movies together.
One sweet day, we’ll look back on this time as one of the biggest, life-changing challenges we ever faced. But I hope we’ll also look back on it with memories of time spent with those we love.
Free Printable: Staying At Home by the Numbers
To give me something to look back on and be able to say, “Remember in 2020 when we were home for weeks and watched 38 movies together?” I’ve created this free printable, Staying At Home by the Numbers.
Enter your email address in the form below and I’ll email it to you to keep track of some of the more memorable parts of your at-home weeks, too.
One sheet is a tally sheet where you can check boxes each time you do one of these activities. The other sheet is a place to add your final counts when we are set loose in our communities again!
What else would you add to the activities I have listed? I left a bunch of blank spaces for your use. Need more room? Just print a second set to keep your list going.
Wishing ALL of us the best getting through this with our health, our livelihoods, and our families in tact. We’re in it together, friends. Hope this free printable helps us to focus on the silver linings.
