Wildwood Soapworks Giveaway: Organic Ice Storm Twist Up Lotion (ends 4/15/12)

This post may contain affiliate links. View my disclosure policy for details.

ice storm twist up lotion bar

It’s a new week and time to take a look at a new product from Wildwood Soapworks!  I’m so excited that their website launched this week.  Go check it out!  It’s a beautiful site and you can browse all the awesome products I’ve been telling you about and easily shop online now, too. If you’re looking for a special gift for Mother’s Day, look no further.  I’ve already placed my order.  I just hope I don’t use what I bought to give as gifts and need to reorder!

This week I’m reviewing the Ice Storm Lotion Twist Up.  So far I’ve shared one soap and the baby products with you, and yup, there’s more!  They make lotions, too.  But not the goopy, ‘traditional’ lotion you might be picturing.  They make solid lotion bars including these twist-ups.  They are awesome.  I know, I’m  a broken record, but I haven’t tried one of their products that I don’t love!

The first thing I love about these lotion twist ups is that they’re neat and clean to use.  This is a solid bar that you rub onto your skin, nothing liquidy or messy about it. They’re very portable so you can throw on in your purse or gym bag and not have to worry about what might happen if it leaks.  It’s also just downright pretty.  I have one sitting on my bathroom vanity and one on the end of my breakfast bar.  The labels make them almost decorative so you can stick one next to your kitchen sink without cluttering the pace up.  Leave that job to the kids. They’re just so darn good at it.   😉

Because they’re a solid instead of a liquid lotion they’re not made with any nasty chemicals. There are no methyl parabens, glycols, and assorted other hard-to-pronounce chemicals that most liquid lotions require. You want to know what’s in this stuff? They’re made from shea butter, pure jojoba oil, high oleic sunflower oil and just enough beeswax to hold them together.  This Ice Storm variety also includes peppermint and spearmint essential oils.  Those are oils found in nature, not manufacutred fragrance oils.  Who knew I’d learn this much about organic skin care products?  But seriously, have you looked at the ingredients on your bottle of lotion lately?  YIKES.  What *is* half of that stuff?

Wildwood Soapworks Twist Up Lotions work.  They hydrate  your skin and leave it soft and smooth.  You can use it anywhere: as body lotion or just on your hands.  I do a little of  both.  I kinda rub it on my hands vigorously to warm it up a little.  It goes on easier when it’s slightly softened up.  Then paint away whatever needs some love.  I use it on my hands a lot and it is a little greasy for a few minutes before it soaks in.  Afterward your hands are totally soft and moisturized.  It feels sooo good!

The Ice Storm Twist Up Lotion can replace your afternoon coffee.  For real.  This is a true story.  I was dragging in the afternoon a few weeks ago and getting ready to make myself a cup of afternoon java.  I happened to grab my Ice Storm lotion twist up and put some on my hands.  It smells awesome, minty and refreshing but not a fake smell.  It’s a genuine, natural smell.  And it woke me up enough to skip the coffee!  It was like chewing gum for my hands. Minus the stickiness.  This scent is great if you need something invigorating to wake you up a bit once in a while.  Moms?  Any moms out there?  Yeah, this one is for us.

Wildwood Soapworks is generously offering four readers the opportunity to win their own Ice Storm Lotion Twist Up!  WOW!  You guys and gals are going to love this product.  (Yep, still a broken record.  You just have to try it and you’ll know what I’m so excited about!) Use the Rafflecopter below to enter to win.  This giveaway runs from April 9 through April 15, 2012 at  midnight EST.  It is open to U.S. residents only.

Good luck!

I was provided with samples of Wildwood Soapworks’ products to facilitate this review.  The opinions in this post are 100% mine.  You can read my full disclosure policy here.
