Now let me show you what was in my box, and what we’ve tried so far!
Everything comes very neatly packed in dry ice. You simply take it out of the box and put it right in your freezer. Simple!
When you’re ready to bake bread, take the loaf out of the freezer. The directions to bake are on each package so there are no recipe cards to keep track of. It’s like they knew I’d lose them.
All of the Wildgrain items are to be baked from frozen – you don’t need to thaw anything. You know what that means? You don’t need to plan ahead. Hallelujah! This is speaking my language.
The first thing we baked was this garlic and rosemary sourdough loaf. I wish you could smell it through the screen. It smells amazing!
Wildgrain breads are make without preservatives, and only with clean ingredients. So if you’re a carb lover (hello) that still wants to enjoy the comfort that bread brings, without feeling all the guilt, you can feel good about eating these products.
Can you see how soft this bread is? My family devoured it. This would have been perfect to serve with bread for a cozy winter meal. We basically ate it all on a Friday afternoon, because, hey, it’s 2020 and we do what we want.
Next up, we tried the orange-cranberry biscuits. I’ll admit, I wasn’t overly excited about these. They look a little plain, but my daughter wanted to try them so we made them. Again, so easy. Just put them on a baking tray and set a timer. There is almost no effort required, which means anyone can do this.
Let me tell you, I was WRONG to not be excited about this biscuits. They puffed up so beautifully and they are absolutely delicious.
That orange and cranberry flavor is spot on, and eating them warm is like a little hug in your mouth.
I loved mine with a little bit of jam. Mmmm…delicious.
