I love unique jewelry. As a stay-at-home-mom I don’t get too dressed up anymore on a daily basis, not like I used to when I was working outside of the home. So instead of having a ton of jewelry to pick and choose from I tend to stick with the same tried and true pieces. That said, boring is not my thing, and if I can find something versatile to go with lots of different outfits that’s a nice bonus. So I was pretty excited when I discovered ULINX Jewelry. I’ve never seen anything like this before and if you haven’t heard of them, you probably haven’t either.

ULINX is magnetic jewelry. All the pieces come apart and can be put back together in any number of configurations because each piece is a magnet. Talk about versatility! You can come up with TONS of combinations! I designed this bracelet from the Mosaic Collection. The little silver beads really give you a lot of design options. Group them together into a thicker square configuration, spread them out into a chain, whatever you can come up with! I’ve even taken the whole thing apart and made rings out of my bracelet. Look at the collage below to see just a few of the styles I’ve made with my bracelet. The possibilities are endless!

These magnets are strong. Like, really strong. That’s good because you don’t have to worry about your bracelet falling apart on you because the pieces don’t hold together. I’ve been wearing mine for weeks and that has never happened, even when I brush my arm against my coat or purse. You do, however, need to remember you’re wearing a serious magnet on your arm. The first time I opened the door between our garage and laundry room by pushing on it with my hand wearing the ULINX bracelet I quickly remembered that that’s a metal door when my bracelet went flying off my hand and stuck to the door! The nice thing was that it didn’t fall into individual pieces so I just grabbed it off the door and put it back on. Still, I try to be aware when I’m near heavy metal objects. Also, I avoid wearing my bracelet when I’m using my laptop. A strong magnet can potentially affect your memory. I’m not taking any chances on that, but that hasn’t been an issue for me since I don’t like to wear jewelry when I’m typing anyway. Finally, magnets can be dangerous for kids if swallowed. Definitely keep this bracelet out of reach of any little hands.

One more thing I love about ULINX is that you can easily buy pieces here and there to add to your collection without having to buy a whole new bracelet. And in the end, you pretty much end up with a whole new bracelet. The tile pieces are reversible so that right there gives you new options, then if you add some new colors and styles you can mix and match them any way you’d like. This one bracelet can be customized to match anything you’re wearing for any occasion. Now that’s a smart solution for ladies who don’t have time to mess with a jewelry box full of choices. Plus it’s just FUN! If you need some inspiration they have lots of great ideas on their website. Above is a picture of some samples they show.
Finally, I can’t complete my review without mentioning WE.LINX. Seriously love this. ULINX gives a portion of their proceeds to provide art supplies and educational materials to underprivileged kids worldwide. These are kids who otherwise wouldn’t have a creative outlet. I see the time my kids spend singing and coloring and being creative and can’t imagine if they didn’t have that in their lives. I love a company that gives back regularly.
UNLINX jewelry would make an awesome gift. One size fits all so you don’t need to worry about that. Just remove pieces if it’s too long until you get the perfect fit. These bracelets are just plain cool. Don’t you think? I love mine and can’t wait to see some of the new collections that ULINX will come out with so I can add some new flair to my bracelet.
