I received complimentary tommee tippee products to facilitate my review. The opinions in this post are 100% mine.  You can read my full disclosure policy here.

I recently met the folks at tommee tippee at a Mom Mixer and fell in love with their products for kids!  Such colorful and functional (isn’t that the important part?!) products. So I was excited to have the opportunity to review a few of their Explora products. I’m always open to anything that will make mealtimes easier around our house, so I couldn’t wait to try out the sippy cup and bibs they sent me.

My daughter was just a few weeks shy of her first birthday when we began using the tommee tippee Explora Truly Spill Proof Trainer Cup. Prior to this, she had only drank from cups with straws so I wasn’t sure how well she’d do with this one, but she figured it out pretty quickly. She definitely loves chewing on the Dura Spout, which is very durable and has held up well to her constant gnawing. (Although she doesn’t have any teeth yet, so I’m not sure if it would hold up as well otherwise.) The handles make it very easy for her to hold and drink from herself with no issues. The one downside to the handles is that the cup won’t fit in most cupholders on strollers or carseats but that doesn’t bother me. The cup also has a flip lid that covers the spout, which is great for preventing leaks and spills. I’ve tossed this filled with milk or water into the diaper bag a few times and haven’t had any messes to clean up, which is awesome and hard to find with most toddler cups out there. It’s also a breeze to clean and I just toss the cup and valve pieces into my dishwasher (top rack only). Another thing I really love about this cup is that it’s BPA-free. If you’re looking for a cup that truly DOES NOT LEAK, then look no further! I love everything about this cup (including the affordable price, a 2-pack at Target is currently only $8.29) and will definitely be buying a few more to add to our collection.  You can find these on Amazon, too.

tommee tippee bibs

I really loved the tommee tippee explora easi-roll bibs! My daughter self-feeds and is a super messy eater and these bibs have saved me a lot of clean-up at mealtime! The bibs have a large scoop-like pocket, which does an awesome job at catching food (and liquid!) that usually ends up in your child’s lap or on the floor. We’ve tried other styles of the thinner pocket bibs in the past but the pockets never seemed to stay open for us, which deemed them pretty pointless. The pocket on the tommee tippee Explora Easi-Roll bibs do exactly what they are supposed to: catch and contain all the mess that usually ends up on your baby or toddler (and floor)! My daughter even figured out during our first use that the pocket was catching all of her food and she ended up tipping it up, trying to eat her “leftovers.” She also reaches in the bib pocket now when her tray is empty and eats right out of it, so less wasted food, too! She likes to pull her bibs off but this one doesn’t seem to bother her or maybe she just gave a few pulls too many times and it didn’t budge, so she gave up. Either way, it stays put during mealtime, which is great.

These bibs travel well and can be rolled up easily and tossed into the diaper bag. Another great feature is they can be rolled up when they’re still dirty and you can deal with the mess when you get home, if needed. Tommee tippee easi-roll bibs are also super easy to clean, which is another plus. I just rinse them under warm water, add a little soap if necessary, and hang to dry! You can also throw them in the dishwasher, which I haven’t tried yet. I love that it’s also saving me laundry and I’m not having all the additional bibs from mealtime to wash and dry. The tommee tippee bibs have 3 different closure settings at the back of the neck. I used the tightest setting on my daughter and it was a decent fit. The packaging says the bib is for 7 months+ but I think the bib may fit a little loose around the neck for most babies that young. On my daughter, it still allows some of the top of her shirts to be exposed because it doesn’t get tight enough around her neck. So if she’s eating something super messy and/or wearing a nice outfit, I double up with a small cotton bib underneath to protect that small area of her shirt. She is a bit petite for a 12 month old, so I’m not sure all babies her age would have this issue. And this really didn’t bother me at all, because everything else about this bib ROCKS! Another bonus is how affordable they are…only $7.29 for a 2-pack at Target! I really can’t say enough great things about these tommee tippee easi-roll bibs. If you have messy eaters in your house, do yourself a favor and run out and grab yourself a set (or two)!
