I have a great new children’s book to share with you. You are probably already familiar with Mutts Comics and now they have a cute new book, The Mutts Winter Diaries, perfect for some winter reading under a cozy blanket with the kids and some hot chocolate. I snuggled up with mine and read it and we laughed the whole way through.
In 1994 Patrick McDonnell created the comic strip MUTTS, which now appears in over 700 newspapers in 20 countries. MUTTS has been described by Peanuts creator Charles Schulz as “One of the best comic strips of all time.” McDonnell has received numerous awards for this strip, including the National Cartoonists Society’s highest honor, The Reuben, for Cartoonist of the Year.
The whole book is a series of Mutt comic strips, all that take place in the winter. It’s so funny! We got several audible laughs out of both me and my kids. They really got a kick out of the way these dogs talk, and as a mom, it really is funny to read out loud with them.
My son Leo keeps picking this book up and reading different parts over and over again. That smile! I love when he really gets into a book. Seeing my kids get hooked on reading makes me so happy. This is a really good one to pique their interest!
You can learn more about Mutts Comics and The Mutts Winter Diaries on their website. Be sure to follow along on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, too!
