It's that time of year when we want to get come out from hibernation and get our houses in order! Spring cleaning can feel overwhelming, so I'm sharing a few hacks, some easy spring cleaning tips for busy moms. (Yes, hiring help is on the list !)

It’s that time of year when we want to come out from underneath our fleece blankets, and go find the sun, and get our houses in order.

5 Spring Cleaning Tips for Busy Moms

Spring cleaning can feel like a daunting task, so I’m breaking it down into a few simple tips that will let you spruce the place up without the overwhelm. Yes, it can be done!

Consign and Donate

The best and biggest difference I can make in cleaning up my house is to just get rid of stuff. I consign what I can at my local children’s consignment sale, and donate the rest. Get a few totes and divide your things up into three buckets: consign, donate, and toss. I’m sure many of you are like me and just have too much stuff. Get it outta there!

Enlist the Kids

Even the youngest of kids can jump in and help with some of the household tasks. Find a few things they are able to do and don’t be shy about having them help. Maybe a regular chore list is helpful, or maybe you just ask as needed. Each family is different but mom does not need to do it all. I can be guilty of this, too, but it doesn’t help anyone for me to get frustrated, feeling like everything falls on me.

Many hands make a light load, so throw some of that work to the rest of the family! And, if you put on some music, you might even make this FUN!

Simplify Dinner with On-Cor Entrées

I love to cook for my family, but I will say, complicated meals with tons of ingredients always make me feel like I’m wrecking my kitchen. Give yourselves a break without taking a break from a real, quality family dinner experience.

On-Cor Entrées make dinner a breeze and the clean up couldn’t be easier (because we are tackling bigger spring cleaning projects, right?). On-Cor does the prep work, so you can take care of other to-do’s that need to-doing. What we love about them is that there’s a nice variety of options that we all love. These meals aren’t fancy; they’re just really good food that kids will love.

And with the new packaging, you know exactly what you’re feeding your family. The 6 Breaded Chicken Parmagiana Patties With Tomato Sauce are made with white meat chicken and include 8 grams of protein per serving. That info is right on the box!

Get Some Organizational Supplies

Invest in a few simple organizational supplies like totes, containers, draw organizers, car organizers, hooks for your broom and mop, etc. Simply having a place to put things instead of just accumulating it on a counter top can make a world of difference. Find your messiest spots, and grab a few organizational items to whip them into shape quickly.

I find that if my kids know things have a specific home, they are more likely to put it away too!

Hire Some Help

There’s no shame in hiring some help. I’m toying with the idea of hiring out a one-time really solid cleaning for our home myself. We just can’t do it all. If you need a cleaning service, go for it, mama. I’ll be joining you, breathing a sigh of relief.

The Giveaway

For your next family meal, head to the freezer aisle of GIANT Food Stores, or check out the store locator at www.on-cor.com to pick up one of On-Cor’s entrées.

I have a daily schedule of cleaning, for example, I know on Wednesdays, I always wash the bathroom towels and floor mats, clean the bathrooms and vacuum the hallway. I also have weird quirks, like I won’t start cooking dinner unless the dishwasher is empty, so I can immediately load up dirty dishes. I can’t stand a dirty sink!

Spring cleaning can be a massive task and it`s totally unrealistic to expect mom have to do it alone. If kids see that like an adventure ar a game, they can do a great deal of work, right? I was wondering, what do you think is most important when hiring some help with a housework?

I like the Spring cleaning idea of going through each room and seeing what we want to keep, donate, or trash. I also think every family member needs to be involved.

First I make a long list. Wash up all the summer clothes and get rid of the ones I no longer use. Wash the blinds and windows. Let that fresh air in.

My top spring cleaning tip is to clean window areas! I used to take the blinds off and scrub them, but they bothered me so much, I no longer have any! I do have lots of curtains, and I take them down every spring and wash them! While they are down, I really scrub the windows!

If you haven’t used a item in the last 6 months chuck it thin out stuff you don’t need. I take my screens out of the windows while cleaning them place in shower spray with dow bathroom cleaner spray then rinse with hot water I have a shower head that also has the removable shower head this makes it easy you should see all the dirt flow off of the screens even if they don look dirty.

Prioritize what you want to get done. If you want to do a thorough cleaning on each room maybe do a different room each week or start on a particular task. You can either focus on your bedroom or cleaning/dusting off all ceiling fans in the house. I like to either stick with one task or one room at a time.
