Sofia The First: Ready To Be A Princess comes out on DVD on September 17! My kids really like this show and I like it too. It’s one of the few cartoons that I don’t think is too ‘grown up’ for them. There are 5 episodes in the collection and Princess Jasmine even as a cameo! There’s a Sophia Doll Dress Up Kit included too. Fun stuff! My kids really liked that bonus.

So what did we think of the DVD?
We loved it! As a parent I think the story of Sophia is so cute. She becomes a princess when her mother marries a king and has to learn how to fill the roll. She’s nervous about it but she’s a natural and the lessons taught in the show are great learning opportunities for kids. I love the messages of kindness and believing in yourself and friendship. I think a lot of ‘kids” shows are a bit advanced for children but this one is one I feel comfortable letting my kids watch. It’s such a sweet show. And the kids love it too! The songs are fun and engaging and they love the stories and Sophia’s adventures.
You can order Sophia The First: Ready to Be a Princess on Amazon and add this fun DVD to your kids’ Disney collection!
