Shari’s Berries: Sweet Treats For Any Occasion

This post may contain affiliate links. View my disclosure policy for details.

Isn’t it the best feeling when you give someone a gift they just love?  I think it’s more exciting for me than it is for them.  Of course sometimes that’s tricky when you’re buying for someone long distance or someone like a boss or colleague.  Maybe it’s hard to find something personal for certain people, so you end up with something nice but generic.  Well, if you’ve got people on your list this year that you’d like to ‘wow’ I can tell you where to shop: Shari’s Berries. The message that’s printed on the outside of the box pretty well sums it up:

Shari’s Berries has an awesome selection of chocolate covered strawberries and other sweet treats like cheesecake and more delicious baked goods.  Who doesn’t like chocolate covered strawberries?  And these have to be the best I’ve ever had.  My Mom makes a mean chocolate covered strawberry but these just take the cake. I’ll admit, I was a little leery of the idea of shipping strawberries.  Anytime I’ve bought strawberries in the grocery store lately they’ve basically gone bad within a day.  How can they stay good shipped through the mail?

They pack these goodies like a boss.  They’re encased in foamy padding so there’s no loose strawberries flying around the box, and each berry has a little individual spot where it sits.  So they’re not all jammed together getting roughed up in transit.  The box the berries are in is surrounded by cold packs and put inside yet another box, keeping them cold, fresh, and well-protected.

Now let’s get to the good stuff: the berries.  The berries are HUGE and juicy and fresh.  No wimpy little berries to be found.  And the chocolate is ah-mazing.  It’s nice and smooth with a thick coating around each berry.  When you take a bite you get a big hunk of chocolate and a juicy hunk of red berry.  Mmm…it’s delish.  And I love that it’s fruit so you don’t feel terribly guilty about eating it or sending it as a gift.  But, let’s be honest here, chocolate is always a hit so when you combine the two you have a win-win.

We also tried out some of the Shari’s Berries cheesecakes.  Oh. My. Goodness.  They must have been the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten.  We had a bit of a war going on here and had to split each cake up into equal pieces for every member of my family. As much as I wanted the whole cake for myself, it really is plenty for a few.  It’s so deliciously rich that you won’t mind sharing.  I have to tell you, though, the one time my husband helped himself to the half of the chocolate cheesecake that my daughter had claimed we nearly had tears.  Luckily I had a chocolate covered strawberry handy to assuage the pain of that loss.

If you’re looking for a really special gift to knock someone’s socks off this holiday season (or any time of year!) look no further than Shari’s Berries.  They’ve got gift packages in all sizes, so something for everyone’s budget, and I’m not kidding when I say these treats make you feel special.  I mean, there’s something more indulgent about biting into a white chocolate covered strawberry than there is about breaking open a bag of nuts.  Know what I mean?  Sure you do.  I highly recommend the Cheesecake Trio and Gourmet Dipped Swizzle Strawberries myself.  Even better, you can save up to 20% with the current coupons on their coupon page!

Be sure to follow Shari’s Berries on Facebook and Twitter to be the first to hear about their latest products and promotions.  Facebook fans get access to an exclusive 15% off coupon right now, too! And for the record, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with sending yourself a special treat from your ‘secret’ admirer.       😉

Enjoy!

I was provided with complimentary Shari’s Berries products to facilitate this review.  The opinions in this post are 100% mine.  You can read my full disclosure policy here.

O.M.Gosh!  I know exactly what you mean about wimpy berries.  I’ve made chocolate covered strawberries myself at home and have to pick through to find the best batch of berries at the store.  BUT, they always turn out all mangled looking…never pretty!  These are GORGEOUS and my mouth is watering.  Thanks for the great review and coupon code…I’ll be checking them out for Christmas!
