Are your kids fans of Sesame Street? Mine are and have been for a looong time. I love that the shows are fun and always education and send good messages to children. This past weekend we had the chance to go see Sesame Street Live: Elmo’s Super Heroes at the Hershey Theater in Hershey, PA. It was such a fun show (lots of VERY excited little monster fans out in the audience!) and we had a great time.
The show was about an hour and a half long with a 15-minute intermission in the middle which I think is about perfect for the ages of Sesame Street fans. Since having kids we’ve been to a few Sesame Street Live productions and one thing I always love about the shows is the fun music. I was doing a lot of toe-tapping myself!
Elmo’s Super Heroes was a great show that reinforced a lot of lessons you try to teach your kids yourself, but who better to drive it home than large furry monsters? Elmo and a few of his buddies turned into super heroes and saved the day in a bunch of different situations, all requiring a healthy solution.
Healthy lessons like eating colorful foods versus cookies (yup, Cookie Monster helped with this one!), exercising every day and moving your body, brushing your teeth and bathing, and getting enough sleep were all demonstrated in creative ways that kids can relate to.
Check out the Sesame Street Live website and see if a show is coming your town soon! If your kids love Sesame Street they will be THRILLED to see it live!
I was provided with a complimentary tickets to Sesame Street Live for the purpose of this review. The opinions in this post are 100% mine. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
