The Red Robin information and gift cards have been provided by Red Robin. The opinions in this post are 100% mine. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
Do you have a Red Robin near you? We have a couple that are probably a half hour away but they’re in places we travel to pretty frequently so we do get there once in a while and LOVE it. There is truly nothing like a good, juicy burger. Nom. Love it. Red Robin has burgers pretty much perfected I think. And these restaurants provide such a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
Now there’s one more reason to treat yo’self to a night off in the kitchen and a delicious meal: Red Robin’s Burgers for Better Schools makes it easy to raise money for your kids’ school…on them!
Burgers for Better Schools is an extension of the Red Robin loyalty rewards program. This is FREE to join, and provides you with perks like every 10th item purchased is free, a free birthday burger, exclusive surprises and more. And now, you can raise money for your school while you dine.
This program allows Red Robin Royalty members an opportunity to support the local K-12 school of your choice just by dining at participating Red Robin restaurants and using your Red Robin Royalty member account! Present your card (or read below if you don’t want another card in your wallet) when you are ready to pay, and Red Robin will donate one percent of your total bill to the school of your choice (excluding taxes, gratuities and gift card sales).
Let me just point this out because I know what you’re thinking: another card in my wallet I’ll never be able to find when I need it. I know I’m not the only one with 50 million cards in her wallet. And NO, you don’t even need a card! If you’re a card carrying type of person, awesome. They have physical cards in the restaurants that you can grab. But for me, I loved being able to enter my phone number to look up my rewards account (they have little table top computers at each table – order your dessert on it too like we did!) and DONE. No need for a card!
If you are already a Red Robin Royalty member, go here to select your school and 1% of your purchases will be donated directly to the school.
If you are NOT a Royalty member yet, go sign up now and then select your school. Do this BEFORE you visit! It’s very easy. I did it in a couple of minutes right before we walked out the door to go out to eat.
I like that you can select your exact school, not just the school district at large. We picked my kids’ elementary school and the money that was donated to them for our dinner purchase didn’t cost me an extra dime. Red Robin makes that donation. So it’s a no brainer! Now, if you do want to send a few extra bucks to your school, you can make that donation on the Red Robin website too. Totally up to you!
Not only did we send a little money to our school by dining at Red Robin, but we got our burger fix in a seriously good way. YUM. They have some new specialty burgers that are amazing. I got the Southern Charm Burger and my husband got the Smoke & Pepper Burger. Yum. And Bottomless Steak Fries®….hello.
We weren’t getting out of there without dessert. My son Leo loved his Mint Brownie Milkshake, which our server said was also his favorite. Not one drop left in that glass when we left!
And of course the kids were happy to grab a Red Robin balloon before we left. So, let’s recap: We had a great meal in a fun place and my kids’ school benefited from it too. A total win!
Make sure you’re signed up both as a Red Robin Royalty Member AND that you’ve designated the school you want to donate to through the Burgers for Better Schools program! Take care of that and then go plan that night out with the fam!
Red Robin wants to give your schools a boost! They’re generously offering one of my readers a $75 Red Robin Gift Card! Woot! This giveaway is open to US residents ages 18+ only and will end at 11:59pm ET on September 24, 2015.
