As a mom of two kids, I like anything that makes my life a little easier. Food pouches are one of those products that I’ve come to love; for both their portability and ease of use, and because they are such a great way to sneak some extra veggies into their diet. So I was pretty excited when I discovered the PouchPop! It’s the perfect pairing to make those food pouches a little easier and safer to use.
I never really paid much attention to the end of a typical food pouch before using this product. But after studying the spout and seeing all of the “ouch points,” I can see how a food pouch without the PouchPop topper could injure a child’s mouth and gums.
The PouchPop topper easily slides onto any food pouch and eliminates the discomfort that can be caused by the pouch spout. It also cuts down on all those messes that can happen with a regular food pouch. It’s so easy to use and can be tossed into your dishwasher for easy clean-up. It helps to promote self-feeding (and what busy Mom doesn’t need that?), is made with hospital grade silicone and is naturally BPA & Phthalate free. I also love that they’re made in the USA.
I’ve only tried it with one kind of food pouch but they have a universal fit and will work with any brand you choose. They come in an assorted 4 pack, with one of each color: red, yellow, orange and green. My 2 year old was excited to pick which color to use and after I quickly twisted in onto her pouch, she sucked it down even faster than usual. My 5 month old has only had solids a few times (spoon-fed by me), so I wasn’t sure how it would go with her using the PouchPop; but she loved it! She needed assistance, of course, and I had to squeeze it for her, but it worked really well. And she LOVED gnawing on the end in between squeezes. I can see this being something she’ll really love as her teething intensifies. And I love that this is a soft and safe product for her to chew on while she’s learning to eat.
If your children eat from food pouches, you need the PouchPop! We haven’t used a pouch in our house without one since our first use. It’s the convenient, soothing and safe solution for pouch feeding. PouchPop is also very affordable, at only $9.99 for a 4-pack. And although it is recommended for ages 4-18 months, my 2 year old enjoyed using it just as much as my 5 month old baby. If your child loves their pouches, I’m sure they’ll love the PouchPop toppers as much as we do! PouchPop are available for order on Amazon.
