I confess I never ate brussels sprouts too often until I met my husband. They’re his favorite veggie so we started eating them more and now they’re one of mine, too! Usually we steam them but recently we tried a new way to cook them and sauteed them. They were sooo good, even the kids ate them right up!
This side dish couldn’t be easier to make. You only need a few ingredients. Start by cutting the brussels sprouts in half (above).
Then you pretty much saute them in the pan with the rest of the ingredients. Really simple and it’s our new favorite way to eat them!
Sauteed Brussels Sprouts With Lemon

Sauteed Brussels Sprouts With Lemon
Ingredients
- 1lb. of Brussels Sprouts (or just one bag or container, whatever your store sells is fine!)
- 2 Tablespoons of olive oil
- Juice of half of a lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Cut brussels sprouts in half and remove and browned outside leaves.
Add olive oil to pan and heat over medium high heat.
Add brussels sprouts to pan, cut side down. When they start to brown you can flip them over and then add salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking. This takes about 15 minutes total to get them browned and cooked through.
When the brussels sprouts are browned and cooked through, add the juice of half a lemon to the pan and stir.
Remove from heat and serve.
