Ozeri Kandle II: A Book Light for Your Kindle, Nook, Tablet, or (Gasp!) a REAL Book!

Ozeri makes the coolest products and I have been fortunate to be able to review their Electric Wine Opener, Serafino Double Wall Glasses, and their Electric Pepper Grinder.  As much as I love all of those goodies (especially that wine opener!) I think I’ve found my favorite product of theirs in the Kandle II book light.  I use this every night when I read before bed and it’s so handy and works great!

The Kandle II is a book light that’s meant to be used with the Kindle and other e-readers.  I actually was reading a paperback book when I got the Kandle and used it with that and it worked great.  A couple of things you’ll notice as soon as you open it are that it’s nice and compact, it comes with plenty of batteries, and it has a great little black bag to store it in when not in use. I really like that Ozeri thinks of everything.  The extra batteries are a big plus to me.  It stinks when your batteries die and you don’t have replacements, especially on a book light!  Who wants to have their reading time cut short?  Not me!

You can clip the Kandle on top the top of your Kindle, Nook, or other e-reader or tablet, or even onto the pages of your book (yes, some of us still read them!) and it doesn’t come down too far on the device or page.  That means it doesn’t cover up any text and interfere with your reading.  It’s also wide enough that it securely attaches to your device and stays in place.  The Kandle has two pivot points: one in at the back of the arm and one that just controls the angle of the light.  This makes it really easy to get your light in the right position so it’s not creating a glare and not shining right in your eyes.

The light itself is great because there are two levels of intensity.  And I love that you can just close it and the light shuts off automatically.  You don’t have to worry about wasting batteries if you don’t shut it off.  I don’t know about you but by the time I get done reading at night before I go to sleep I can barely keep my eyes open.  So I really appreciate being able to just snap that light closed and knowing that it went off.  I also really like being able to turn all the other lights in the room off and just use this Kandle to read so that when I’m done, I don’t have to get back up and turn lights off.  I can just go to bed.

To get a good feel for the size of the Kandle and exactly how it works, check out my video!

Bonus: When you lose power in a storm this light is awesome!   🙂     If you’re a reader, whether you have a Kindle, a Nook, or any other e-reader or if you like the good old fashioned paper books, the Kandle is perfect way to light up your screen or pages so you can read without straining your eyes and without keeping anyone else awake.  I really do love this device and use it every night.  Reading before bed is my little treat to myself!

You can grab this Kandle II on Amazon here.  Be sure to follow Ozeri on Facebook, too.  They often have fantastic promotions on their unique products!

I was provided with a complimentary  Ozeri Kandle II to facilitate this review.  The opinions in this post are 100% mine.  You can read my full disclosure policy here.

My son has night-blindness and sometimes dim lighting can even be difficult for him. This would be great! On his Kindle or like you said a REAL book! Thanks!
