When my kids were little I was a milk pusher. Like Mr. T, “Drink ya milk, fools!” was my mantra. They weren’t big time milk drinkers, unfortunately, but now that they’re a little older they’ve rediscovered milk. This discovery coincided with my daughter’s discovery of cereal. And I’m so glad. As a parent you worry that your kids aren’t getting enough calcium. Isn’t that message thrown at us from all directions from a very young age?
I had the opportunity to review Over the Moon Milk and I’m really excited about this milk. Milk is milk, right? Well this one actually has 34% more calcium and 37% more protein than regular milk. It’s a good source of Vitamin D, too. I think that’s awesome since I know my kids don’t drink enough milk. One way to get them to drink more, however, is to make it chocolate. These are *my* kids, ya know?! Over the Moon comes in Fat Free, Low Fat, and Chocolate. We got to try all of them and yum! Of course the chocolate was a big hit and the kids never noticed that mom pulled the old switcheroo with the milk.
For Easter my Mom got us one of those little counter-top mixers for Easter and I’m so excited to try some of these awesome recipes for shakes and smoothies on the Over the Moon site. This one for a Moon-Lite Cappucino Freeze looks delish, doesn’t it?

Next time you hit the grocery store look for Over the Moon milk. I pretty much buy the same kind of milk every time we shop, but we really liked this milk, the price was no different than what I usually buy, and I love that it has that extra boost of calcium and protein.
Over the Moon is generously giving three readers their own Over the Moon Sipper Cups. This is open to U.S. residents only and runs from April 9 to April 13. You can enter to win here.
