I’ll be honest, I was completely unfamiliar with Saffron Road Food before I attended the Summer Fancy Food Show in NYC this year. I really enjoy finding new brands (especially food!) that my family loves so I was excited to try all the goodies they sent me and learn about what sets them apart. You guys, this stuff has seriously become a go-to on my dinner menu. Let me show you what we sampled and the delicious meals I made with it!!
Saffron Road makes all of these simmer sauces (and more!). This is what I like to call EASY, delicious on-pot dinners in a pouch. A few things I love about these products:
- Many of these are gluten-free, and certified to be so by the GFCO
- 16 of their products are Non-GMO Project Verified
- The ingredients are wholesome and high-quality
- All of the protein/meat in their frozen entrees are 100% vegetarian fed and humanely raised on family-owned farms
To sum it up: Easy meals that are delicious that I can feel good about feeding my family. WIN.
Now, if you’re thinking, my kids are not going to eat this, you might be totally wrong. I actually love that Saffron Road makes it really easy to introduce your family to some new ethnic cuisines, like flavors from India, Morocco, the Middle East, Korea, and more.
To prove to you how much my kids love these simmer sauces, I took the picture above of my daughter, Lily’s list of ideas for dinners now that we’re back to school. Not only do they eat it when I make it (and like 3 helpings of it!), but they ASK me to make it.
I have a few recipes to share with you, but you can get creative. This is my basic formula, and all you need is a little oil, some protein, and some veggies. Serve with rice or couscous if you’d like.
Use Saffron Road Simmer Sauces to create flavorful one-pot meals the whole family will love. Heat a large saute pan that has a lid over medium high heat. Add the oil. Add the meat to the pan and cook through until browned Add the fresh vegetables and stir. Add the Saffron Road mix of your choice and stir. Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 30-45 minutes until vegetables are tender. If you'd like to add a pop of color, add the frozen vegetables and stir. Continue cooking until they are warmed up, about 2 more minutes should be enough. Serve with rice or couscous. Both are really easy to make but if you don't want to dirty another pot, the pouches of rice heat up in the microwave in only 90 seconds!All-Natural One-Pot Meals With Saffron Road Foods

One more bonus: These meals are even better on day 2. So leftovers, baby! Saffron Road also makes a fantastic line of wholesome frozen entrees that are perfect for easy lunches. I’ve had three of them now that I love.
Another Saffron Road product we love are the Crunchy Chickpeas. These are SO good, really flavorful and perfect when you need a snack with some bite.
They come in a variety of flavors and they’re made with organic chickpeas, non-GMO verified, gluten-free, and made in the USA! Just look at all those flavors. We ate them ALL!
Our favorite flavor for snacking is the Korean BBQ. They’re delicious! The nice thing about these snacks, in addition high-quality food factor, is that they’re really versatile. Most of the time we eat them right out of the bag, but I’ve also made snack mixes with them, tossed them on a salad, and used them in place of crackers in soup.
This is going to be my go-to snack for the school year too. The kids love them, and I love that they’re high in protein so they’ll keep the kids feeling satisfied through the school day.
Saffron Road products are truly a new favorite for us. I love that they’re wholesome and healthy, and FAST. Look for these products here, and if there’s not a store near you that carries the varieties you want to try (raising my hand), and know that you can order on Amazon too (love that!).
