‘Tis the season for coughs and colds. We’ve been  battling them for a while already. My kids get these terrible coughs that get worse at night and it’s really hard to find anything that seems to help. In fact, recently I had my daughter to the doctor for a cough that she couldn’t shake and she pretty much told me to no bother with any medicines over the counter because they just don’t work.  Not to mention that I hate giving them all these unnecessary drugs and chemicals.  But you moms and dads know, when your child is coughing and sick you’d do anything to make it stop.  So I was pretty excited to have the opportunity to try Maty’s All Natural Cough Syrup for Kids right as we were in the thick of fall colds in my house.

Maty's All Natural Cough Syrup for Kids

The story of the Maty’s company is a pretty cool one.  Their daughter, Maty, was born with a heart defect and some other health issues.  To help her get healthy and stay that way they researched the heck out of natural remedies and this company was born, named after their daughter. I love that parents like you and me are behind the wheel here, and that they really care about our kids.

Maty's All Natural Cough Syrup

Maty’s All Natural Cough Syrup for Kids is a new go-to for us.  I actually just gave my daughter a dose after I heard her coughing in her room and she’s quieted down now only a few minutes later.

  • 100% Natural, Drug Free
  • Contains Clinically Proven Ingredients
  • Gluten Free, Dairy Free, No corn, Soy or Wheat
  • No Harmful Side Effects
  • Improves Sleep Quality
  • Soothes and Coats Sore Throats
  • Caramel Banana Taste

They begin with real buckwheat honey which is all natural and drug free.  Then they add 8 of Mother Nature’s most powerful immune system boosters.   Because this product is food-based, there are no harmful side effects.  It’s completely natural! Of course you want to be aware that there is honey in it which isn’t recommended for children under the age of one.

Healthful ingredients include:

  • Cinnamon – promotes healthy breathing*
  • Zinc – provides immune support*
  • Apple cider vinegar – promotes healthy mucous flow*
  • Celtic Sea salt – naturally neutralizes toxins in the body*
  • Lemon balm – has a calming effect*
  • Lemon Peel – source of limonene, natural detoxifier*
  • Grapefruit Seed Extract – boosts the immune system*
  • Marjoram – anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial*

You do need to shake the bottle before dosing it out.  Don’t forget! One time I did and my daughter wasn’t a big fan of it.  But every other time that I remembered she hasn’t minded the taste.  It’s definitely different than the other medicine that kids might be used to, but it doesn’t taste bad.  In fact, my husband and I both had a little lick just to see what it was like and he liked it and said it tasted like a cookie!  I think it has a good flavor, too.   If your kids suffer with coughs and colds, try this Maty’s Cough Medicine or one of their other all natural cough and cold products.  I really think they work better than the traditional stuff you find on store shelves and I feel so much better about giving it to my kids when they’re sick.  You can find which stores carry Maty’s products here.
