Disney is providing me with an expense paid trip to Hollywood for the #MaleficentEvent and #FireAndRescueEvent in exchange for my review of the events of the trip. No other compensation is given. The opinions and experiences in my posts are 100% mine. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
I am so, SO excited to share this news with all of you! I’ve been invited to Los Angeles to attend the #MaleficentEvent and #FireAndRescueEvent from May 19-21! What does that mean? Well, I don’t have the official itinerary just yet but I’m definitely going to be screening both movies, interviewing some of the cast and filmmakers, and learning more about the behind-the-scenes making of the movies. I’m also going to get to find out what kind of toys and clothes and other stuff we are going to want will be available from both films. I just have to get myself a Maleficent shirt or mug or SOMETHING!!
MALEFICENT comes out on May 30 and
PLANES: FIRE & RESCUE releases on July 18!
Take another look at both films and if you have specific questions you’d like answered, lay ’em on me!
MALEFICENT is one my most anticipated films of this year and I’m so excited to see it in its entirety. What made Maleficent turn to the dark side? I do have a theory!
From Disney comes “Maleficent”—the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.” A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom—and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.

Angelina Jolie is just perfect for this role and this movie is going to be incredible. Can you even wait to go see it?!
I had such a good time on the PLANES press trip last summer and am thrilled to be invited back to get the scoop on this one. It looks like there are lots of new characters to fall in love with! My son is a major PLANES fan so we’ll be adding to our collection of characters here at home, I’m sure.
“Planes: Fire & Rescue” is a new comedy-adventure about second chances, featuring a dynamic crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfire. When world famous air racer Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his courageous team, including spirited super scooper Dipper (voice of Julie Bowen), heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex-military transport Cabbie and a lively bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero. Directed by Bobs Gannaway (“Secret of the Wings”), “Planes: Fire & Rescue” hits theaters in 3D on July 18, 2014.
