Long Live My Shoe Addiction: Payless ShoeSource’s Hot Styles & Cool Prices

This post may contain affiliate links. View my disclosure policy for details.

I will admit I’m sort of a shoe snob.  I have certain brands I love and they tend to be a bit pricey. I used to indulge my shoe addiction much more often before I wore my full-time mom hat and had a different kind of full-time hat that came with a full-time income. Now that we are a single-income family my affinity for shoes has had to take a back seat.  It’s been kind of sad, but lately I discovered this self-imposed shoe shopping ban, or at least limitation, was unnecessary.   Actually being a shoe snob is unnecessary.   Where have I been while Payless ShoeSource was adding popular new brands and hot new styles to their selection?

I haven’t shopped in a Payless ShoeSource in quite a while.  I’ve been missing out and am so glad I had the opportunity to rediscover this store!  They’ve now got some popular name brands in stock like Champion, Airwalk, and Dexter.  These shoes are really stylish, the most current fashion trends, and equally importantly is that they are very affordable!  See that?  No need to limit the shoe shopping after all!

I had the opportunity to review a couple of pairs of Payless shoes. These cool Women’s Wallis Moc Boots by Airwalk retail for $49.99 which is a great price compared to other high boots like these.  I found them to be a little snug on my calf when I zipped them up.  My legs aren’t toothpicks by any stretch of the imagination  but I’d say they’re about average.  So if you have bigger calves you might have a little trouble with this particular pair. I’m not going to be able to tuck my jeans into these, but I can easily wear them under my pants, with leggings or tights.  One thing I love about them is that they’re light.  Some winter boots, even fashion boots like these, can be really clunky. These are nice and light to wear and they feel good to wear, too.  They have a nice cushion inside that makes them really comfy!  What do you think?  They’re pretty hot boots, right?!  You can find these in black or brown.

I also tried out these cute Leopard Print Women’s Flash Flat by American Eagle. These retail for only $14.99! Can’t beat that price for a pair of stylin’ little flats.  These fit me really well, so I’d stay they’re true to size.  They were super comfy at first and then began to wear on my heels a little bit.  I see one reviewer online said you need to break them in a bit so that doesn’t happen and I think that’s true.  The heel part was a little stiff at first but the more I wear them the comfier they are.  I don’t think you’d have that issue at all with tights or some thin socks.   I really, really like this pair and though I wouldn’t plan to go hiking or spend my Black Friday power shopping in them, they are absolutely perfect for a night out with the girls!  They look great with jeans for a casual look, or wear them with a skirt or pants for a dressier yet still fun style. They come in blue, black, and gray in addition to the leopard print.  These are practical and versatile and for only $14.99 they’re very affordable.

I have to say, I was surprised by all the cool styles and new brands I found at Payless.  Really pleasantly surprised.  In addition to the great shoes they have some awesome purses, too!  This style would match those cool leopard print flats of mine and it’s only $19.99!  I even found a scarf and hat that I love.  It’s really nice to be able to indulge my shoe addiction once in a while without having to worry about breaking the bank and without having to sacrifice getting a decent shoe.  I mean, no matter how inexpensive, if the shoe isn’t wearable who cares how much it costs?  The shoes I got from Payless are comfortable, stylish, and priced great.

If you’re like me and haven’t checked out Payless lately, it’s time to give them another look.  Browse their website and see what’s new, follow Payless on Facebook and Twitter.  And let’s celebrate the return of the shoe habit!  Shop on, folks!

I was provided with complimentary Payless shoes to facilitate this review.  The opinions in this post are 100% mine.  You can read my full disclosure policy here.

You know Lindsay, I’m the same way. I haven’t been to Payless in a long time, but with the new styles their coming out with, I may have to stop by there soon! I’m a huge fan of animal print, so I’m loving the leopard flats and purse. Wearing those flats and carrying that purse would be a great way to accessorize any outfit! Thanks for contributing to my shoe addiction with this review! I’m going to check out their boots too!
