This school year is BUSY. We have soccer practice three times a week. Yes, three. That’s between both kids but still it’s a lot of running, and that doesn’t include the games every weekend. Then there’s homework on top of that. It feels like we’re rushing and on the go quite a bit. So I am always on the lookout for a healthy, fill-you-up snack that I can take with me when I’m running out the door, or throw in the kids’ bags when they’re rushing off to school or practice. I just tried Lola Granola bars and LOVE them! Read the story of how they were developed. You are going to love this, moms!
Originally created a few years ago by Mary Molina when her family hit hard times. They were struggling to provide for their 4 young children, and were relying on public assistance and food banks. Her husband Ernie was eating junk food to save money. So Mary made him nutritious granola bars to save money, making sure they were gluten and soy free due to her children’s allergies, and he loved them! The kids loved the bars, and so did Ernie’s coworkers, who asked to buy some. Lola Granola Bar was born. The Granola Bars have an MSRP of $1.99. Lola Granola Bars are made in small batches at their upstate New York facility, a member of Pride of New York, and support local food anti-hunger programs.
That’s a smart mama, right? I love that! And they really have a winning product. These bars come in 5 great flavors that really make you feel like you ate something. I don’t know about you but sometimes these bars I’ve had just do nothing for me in the ‘satisfied’ department. That is not the case with these. They’re fruity and chewy and filling. So good!
Lola Granola Bars come in 5 flavors. My favorite is the Ruby. Love those cranberries!
