I was provided with a set of complimentary Little Pim Flash Cards to facilitate this review. The opinions in this post are 100% mine. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
I’ve done a number of Little Pim reviews and am definitely a big fan of their language products for children. I love that they make them fun for kids while making it easy to learn a new language. In addition to their books, one my favorite Little Pim products is their flash cards. No batteries, no screen time, and easy to take with you anywhere you go. That’s my kind of educational activity!
There are 45 commonly-used words included on these cards and as a parent trying to help their kids learn, I really appreciate the Learning Tips cards and Vocabulary Building Activities they include. The games are my kids’ favorite way to play with the cards!
Here are a couple of cards just to show you what they look like. On the front is a picture of the item, and then on the back you see the same picture, the word and pronunciation key in French, plus the word in English.
One of my good friends is planning a trip to Africa in a place where they speak French so I was really happy to be able to share this set of Flash Cards with her and get her review. She has three kids that she used them with:
My 5 and 7 year-olds are learning French while having fun. We play with the flash cards which follow some of the DVDs we’ve already watched. I like the fact that the words have a pronunciation guide for me as I’m learning the words too. The pictures are fun and a great way to learn. The kids don’t feel as though they’re learning, they just think they are playing a game. I like the suggestions included in the flash cards to make the most out of them. We enjoy making stories from the cards and attempting to tell those stories in French. Little Pim seems to make learning a new language fun and easy for kids.
