Lemon and Dill Pasta Served Hot or Cold

This post may contain affiliate links. View my disclosure policy for details.

This easy recipe for Lemon and Dill Pasta is delicious served hot or cold. Make it for dinner, and serve the leftovers as a pasta salad for lunch the next day.

Who else is cooking dinner at home more than ever? I think I’ve made 5000 dinners in the last two months.

The old standby recipes are wearing out their welcome at the dinner table, so I’m trying to mix it up a bit and find some new meals to serve the family.

My friends at Pappardelle’s Pasta sent me a variety of pastas and I’m excited to share their brand and this delicious recipe for Lemon Dill Pasta with you.

Pappardelle’s Pasta

I discovered Pappardelle’s Pasta years ago at my local farmer’s market. A stand there was selling the most unique pasta, and I’m a carb lover and grabbed a few bags to try.

Love at first bite. Their pasta is amazing! I checked Pappardelle’s out online and discovered tons more varieties that I hadn’t seen at the market stand.

Pappadelle’s is now a tradition in our family. We have shared with friends and family, and every year we place an order at Christmastime to give as gifts.

Have you ever heard of pastas like this? So unique, and SO good.

They taste as amazing as they sound, and with unique shapes, colors, and flavors, everyone in the family is wowed by these pastas. While the kids will tell us they’re sick of regular ‘ole spaghetti noodles, they never tire of Pappardelle’s.

When I can put purple pasta on the table, that’s a meal the kids are going to eat!

I used the Fanciful Fruit Blend to make this Zesty Pasta Salad. I love how their pastas jazz up any dish just by being so pretty!

Unique Pasta Recipes

Pappardelle’s Pasta includes sample recipes with each of their varieties, so it’s easy to find a place to start cooking.

They sent me one of their newest varieties, Spring Blossom Blend, which is just beautiful. I could put this dry pasta in a vase and decorate my table with it!

Spring Blossom Blend is a floral blend of rose, hibiscus, and lavender trumpet pasta that just screams springtime to me. It’s as flavorful as it is pretty.

I wanted to pair some springtime flavors with this pasta, and since we’re currently eating three meals a day at home, I thought it would be smart to come up with a recipe that can be served both hot and cold.

This Lemon and Dill Pasta recipe is delicious served hot, and it’s so easy to make. While the pasta is cooking, whisk together the remaining ingredients in one bowl for the dressing.

There’s no additional pot or pan to dirty. Can I get a hallelujah from everyone who is sick of doing dishes?!

Once your pasta is cooked, drain it and pour the dressing over it. Stir to combine, and boom, dinner is ready. Quick and easy!

If you have leftovers, this recipe is so tasty served as a cold pasta salad. We had our leftovers for lunch the next day.

Other than the dill, I already had everything on hand to make this recipe. I’m definitely going to grow some in my garden this summer.

Here is the simple recipe, one that we will be adding to our regular meal rotation. Everyone loved it and I loved that it was so easy to make!

Lemon and Dill Pasta Recipe

Lemon and Dill Pasta Recipe

This Lemon and Dill Pasta recipe is so easy to make, and full of flavor. It's delicious served both hot and cold.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes
Total Time 22 minutes

Ingredients

  • 16oz. pasta. Preferred in this recipe: Pappardelle's Spring Blossoms Blend Pasta
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped, plus more for garnish (optional)
  • 1 cup frozen baby peas

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Generously salt the water, then add pasta and cook as directed. While pasta is cooking, make the dressing.
  2. Combine lemon zest, lemon juice, mustard, and honey in a bowl.
  3. Whisk in olive oil.
  4. Stir in dill. Set dressing aside.
  5. Add peas to the boiling pasta pot for the last 30-60 seconds. Turn the heat off and drain the pasta and peas.
  6. Add the dressing to the pasta and peas, and stir to coat.
  7. Garnish with additional chopped fresh dill if desired before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated and served cold the next day, or heated up to be served warm. This is a great no-mayo pasta salad to take to a cookout, too, and can be made in advance and refrigerated. Any type of pasta will work, but the Spring Blossom Blend from Papparedelle's Pasta provides a beautiful color and perfect springtime flavor compliment to this recipe.
