It’s hard to believe 10 years have gone by already since September 11, 2001. There will be ceremonies and gatherings all over the country on Sunday to remember and honor those who were lost and those who were so brave on that day.
There will be a local event here in Lancaster, too, and if you don’t have plans on Sunday you might want to check it out. The Clipper Stadium will host a memorial tribute, “Never Forget 9-11…The Spirit of America” from 9am-4pm and it’s all totally free.
The daylong event kicks off at 9am with the 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb where firefighters will climb 110 flights. The day continues with music by military and local bands, singing groups, and lots more. Rep. John Bear will be in attendance for the ceremony that begins at 2pm along with the Red Rose Veteran’s Honor Guard and other awesome military bands. It looks like a fantastic tribute to our country and the memory of the heroes of 9-11.
Clipper Magazine Stadium is located on 650 N. Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. You can go here to find directions and parking info.
