I’m so excited to be partnering with Just Between Friends Lancaster and Reading to share what’s new with their Spring 2016 sales! I’ve been shopping my local JBF sales for a few years now and once you start, you’re hooked. I consign every sale and last fall I got a nice check for over $330 right before the holidays. Sweet!
To encourage more moms to join us in cleaning up and cashing in, we have some great new programs happening this spring. I’ve got the scoop below:
Just Between Friends Lancaster – Spring 2016
First things first: event dates. The JBF Lancaster Spring 2016 sale runs from April 14-16, 2016 at the Lanco Fieldhouse in East Petersburg. Sign up and get all the details on the website.
Just Between Friends Reading – Spring 2016
The JBF Reading Spring 2016 sale runs from April 28 -30, 2016 at Body Zone in Wyomissing. You can register for that event and get the full scoop right here.
Now let’s look at what’s new this spring! We have 3 new exciting programs we hope you’ll join.
1. Consignor Facebook Challenge
We know that the consignment process can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. To work side-by-side with new consignors and break down the process into doable steps, we’ve created a new Facebook group: Clean Up. Ca$h In: #ClearTheClutter With JBF. (Use that link to go request an add!)
This is a FUN group and the 4-week challenge officially kicks off on Monday February 15 but we’d love to have you join at any time. We have JBF leaders, experienced consignors, and a professional organizer in the group and will be breaking down the consignment process into manageable chunks to help get you ready to cash in this spring!
Did someone say prizes? Why yes I did. We’ll have some incentives along the way to keep you on track with us, and in the end someone is going to win a fantastic grand prize! You’ll have to join the group and participate to be eligible.
2. Consignor Workshops
Last fall I helped a few of my friends participate as consignors and instead of trying to tell them to read through the tagging instructions, I always found it easier to actually go to their houses and get them started myself. Every time I heard the same thing, “Oh this is easy once you get started!” Yup, it really is.
So we’ve set up hands-on consignor workshops where we can walk you through the tagging process in person for each sale. You need to pre-register to attend and when you leave, you’ll walk out with 30 of your items tagged and ready to sell, plus the knowledge to go tag everything else you want to unload!
The Lancaster Tagging Workshop is on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at 4pm at the sale location, Lanco Fieldhouse in East Petersburg. Register here to join us!
We’re doing the same thing in Reading.
The Reading Tagging Workshop is on Sunday April 3, 2016 at 1pm ET in Wyomissing. This is at the Homewood Suites, right across from Body Zone where the sale is held. Register here to join us!
3. Huge Book Giveaways for Schools
I am SO excited about this! Just Between Friends Lancaster & Reading (and their sister sale in Oaks, too!) are all doing huge book giveaways for the Spring 2016 sale! These giveaway contests can benefit YOUR child’s elementary school, so you definitely want to participate.
How does it work?
Nominate your child’s elementary school (only elementary for this contest). We’ll have a Facebook voting contest and select 3 winners from each sale by show of ‘likes’.
- 1st Place: $250 in “JBF Book Bucks” + 20 presale passes for teachers
- 2nd Place $150 in “JBF Book Bucks” + 15 presale passes for teachers
- 3rd place $100 in “JBF Book Bucks” + 10 presale passes for teachers
Your school could win $250 in book bucks! Wow! Go here to nominate your school.
For Lancaster: You have until March 16 to nominate your school. Voting will be on the JBF Lancaster Facebook page from March 27-April 2.
For Reading: You have until April 6 to nominate your school. Voting will be on the JBF Reading Facebook page from April 17-24.
