I have two kids at home and my 5 year-old son in particular is like a wild man.  Jumping off the back of the couch, throwing himself onto the floor, diving full speed into his sister. CRAZY kid. I don’t even think he was two when we would up in the ER on a Friday night with a big gash on his forehead.  Good times. blankWe love his spunky personality but he definitely gets more of his fair share of bumps and bruises. Sometimes it’s hard to know the best way to heal the boo boo so I love this helpful resource, the Johnson & Johnson Would Care Page.

If you’ve ever stood in the first-aid aisle of your drug store and stared blankly at all the choices, this site is worth checking out. I know when my son bangs himself up I want to clean him up the best way I can to speed healing and diminish the chances of a scar.  There are a bunch of great tips on which products work best for what stages of healing and more.

Highlights from the Johnson & Johnson Wound Care Site:

  • A “Stages of Healing” infograpic. Pin it to come back to!
  • Wound Care Essentials – learn which supplies are necessary for a speedy recovery
  • Information on the correct antibiotic creams, gauze pads, tapes and wraps for your injury
  • A collection of videos addressing common questions and concerns people giving homecare have
  • The best products for kids and active family members

I love the videos, too, that teach you how to wrap a joint, signs of infection, tips for showering after surgery, and a lot more.  Taking a few minutes to check out blankJohnson & Johnson Would Care Page  might save you time and worry. Who doesn’t need that, right?

Take a look at some of the resources on this page and you’ll know where to go next time your little one bangs up a knee or you have a loved on recovering from surgery.
