Did you know that the second full week of April each year is National Library Week? Me neither. But thankfully I have some fabulous bookworm friends who clue me in on this stuff. This is the perfect time to post about what a great resource your public library is, wouldn’t you say? I could recreate the wheel, or I could ask you to check out this article here which pretty much sums it up. Public libraries offer free books, movies, summer reading programs for kids and adults, story time for kids, crafts, online access to reserve and renew and download e-books, and on and on and on. And the best part of all: IT’S FREE!!!! Do you have a library card? What are you waiting for? Go find your local library and check it out!
Our local library hosts an annual Used Book Sale (May 12-14 this year) and the Summer Reading kickoff party is on June 3rd. This is what’s going on at our town’s library. What’s happening at yours?
