I’m a little behind on sharing the Humane League of Lancaster County Pets of the Week so let’s catch up. First, hats off to everyone that adopted during the “Give a Shelter Pet a Break: Tax Day Adoption Special.” 40 pets were adopted that weekend including Sylvester! Awesome!! Sasha is still looking for her forever home. Take a look at this sweetheart.
The snow’s melted and the weather has warmed. There’s a freshness in the air. You pull on your running shoes and your windbreaker. But something’s missing. A running buddy, someone who enjoys plunging down leaf and light dappled trails as much as you do. Someone with an abundance of life to keep you smiling. You’re in luck; her name is Sasha, a joyful two-year-old pit bull who can’t get enough of activity and excitement. Sasha would love to join a family with older children and adults who enjoy outdoor adventures and a good game of tug-of-war, but also snuggles on the couch. Very much a people dog, Sasha prefers not to share her family’s attention with other animals and would like to be an only pet in her new home. Sasha possesses athleticism, beauty, and also intelligence. Her previous family says she is already house trained and she knows a handful of obedience commands that she is more than happy to show off (especially if a treat is involved!). Adopt Sasha today and she will bring a lifetime of joy, exuberance, and her signature doggy smile to your family!

We’ve got another beautiful girl looking for a home and family to love her. Meet Taffey!
Taffey is a sweet nine-year-old kitty who is quick to greet visitors with a rub and a purr! She adores receiving attention from humans and she has enjoyed the companionship of other cats in the past as well. Taffey’s gentle and easy-going demeanor makes her a wonderful companion and she can’t wait to bring her friendly personality to her new family. Taffey is already spayed, litter-box trained, and ready to begin the best years of her life with you!
If you’re interested in learning more about Taffey you can visit the Humane League of Lancaster County during their adoption hours (be sure to check the website for hours), or email catadoptions@humaneleague.com.
