I have a new Humane League of Lancaster County Pet of the Week to share. Look at this gorgeous girl. So pretty! Meet Blossom:
Eleven month old Blossom came into the shelter in February, when her family realized that they had too many cats and could no longer care for Blossom and her sister. Due to the large number of cats in their former home, Blossom and Bubbles did not receive enough attention from their humans to be well socialized as kittens. Thankfully, they have been making up for lost time in one of our experienced foster homes. Blossom has now returned to the shelter and is ready to move on to her forever home. While in foster care, Blossom learned that cuddling can be a positive experience; she especially enjoyed snuggling under the covers at night with her foster parents. Blossom and Bubbles love to play with anything like can be turned into a cat toy, from crumpled newspaper to shoelaces and pipeclearners. Both cats are litterbox trained. They lived with a calm, adult dog in their foster home, who mostly ignored them and, although they were accepting of the limited interaction they had with the dog, another home with a similarly manner dog, or a home where they can be the only pets is preferred. Most importantly, Blossom and Bubbles are hoping to find a quiet home where their new family can give them the space and love they need to settle in and continue to thrive!
If you’re interested in learning more about Blossom you can visit the Humane League of Lancaster County during their adoption hours (be sure to check the website for hours), or email catadoptions@humaneleague.com.
