I have a new Humane League of Lancaster County Pet of the Week to share. Meet Eeyore! Isn’t she gorgeous?
Despite her name, one year old Eeyore really does not have gloomy personality. She may be a bit shy at first, but given time she warms up and enjoys giving and receiving affection. Eeyore was brought into the shelter when her family could no longer afford the additional expenses of caring for two cats. (If you’re looking for a double dose of love, Eeyore’s sister, Pikachu, is also looking for a forever family!) Eeyore is litter box trained, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Eeyore has a quiet and gentle way about her. However, if you break out the laser pointer, Eeyore lets loose and can’t resist chasing that ever elusive red dot. Eeyore is also fond of playing with ball toys and leaping in and out of empty cardboard boxes. Want another way to get Eeyore to come out of her shell? Offer a little catnip and Eeyore will be your devoted companion for life! Eeyore’s personality – equal parts curious and laid back – will make her an ideal companion for a variety of families!
If you’re interested in learning more about Eeyore you can visit the Humane League of Lancaster County during their adoption hours (be sure to check the website for hours), or email catadoptions@humaneleague.com.
