Humane League of Lancaster County Pets of the Week: Meet Buddy!

Buddy

I have a new Humane League of Lancaster County Pet of the Week to share! This truly breaks my heart. How cute is Buddy? He’s at the shelter because his parents divorced and nobody could keep him. So sad (and shameful on their part but I digress….).

Six year old Buddy is part Schipperke, possibly part Jack Russell, and 100% full of love and devotion! Buddy’s great big ears can’t be missed and his personality is just as large. He is a chipper fellow, who loves to go for walks and play with his toys. He was brought to the Humane League through no fault of his own; his owner’s were going through a divorce and knew they could no longer give him the time and attention that he deserves. Buddy is a true people person; he loves everyone whom he meets. He is a smart dog who knows basic commands and responds well to treats and praise (C’mon, who doesn’t enjoy someone telling us how great we are along with a treat?). Buddy’s idea of a perfect day is to have a devoted human playmate nearby. His previous owner wanted his new family to know that, “Buddy is  avery good dog. Play with him a lot and he will be very happy!” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

If you’re interested in learning more about Buddy you can visit the Humane League of Lancaster County during their adoption hours (be sure to check the website for hours), or email dogadoptions@humaneleague.com.

Featured pet turtle, Tidbit, from last week is still available for adoption.
