It’s time for a new Humane League of Lancaster County Pet of the Week! Omigosh this girl is so fun!! Meet Isis!
Isis is an outgoing Border Collie mix with a fantastic energy and puppy-like enthusiasm about her, despite her two-year-old “adult dog” status. Isis’ excitement for life is contagious and she is a ton of fun to be around. Given her raw athletic ability, Isis would be an excellent candidate for agility work and would most likely be the star of her fly ball class! She’s highly intelligent and has already learned a whole bag of tricks including: “sit,” “sit pretty,” “high five,” “low five,” “lay down,” “relax,” and she’s worked on “crawl” and “roll over.” Isis will thrive in a home with older children and adults who will expand on her already impressive list of commands. She is always eager to learn new things; especially if a treat is involved (she has a partiality to hot dogs)! Because Isis is so intelligent, she will need mental and physical exercise every day. A long daily walk alone won’t satisfy Isis! She’ll need ample time each day to run as well. After she’s given a positive outlet for her energy, Isis will seek you out for some love and attention. If you’ve been looking to welcome a dog into your life who loves to get out and move as much as you do, Isis can’t wait to become your new best friend.
If you’re interested in learning more about Isis you can visit the Humane League of Lancaster County during their adoption hours (be sure to check the website for hours), or email dogadoptions@humaneleague.com.
