I’m a little behind sharing the Humane League of Lancaster County Pet of the Week and I apologize. I think I’ve finally recovered from Black Friday and Cyber Monday! So let’s catch up and get back on track. A couple of weeks ago the Pet of the Week was this adorable cat, Alexander the Great. Love those green eyes!
Alexander the Great is a great big cat with heart and personality proportionate to his size. This friendly and outgoing two-year-old boy displays a very handsome orange coat of fur which he is happy to make available to visitors. Alexander adores being petted and he isn’t shy about rolling over to ask for a gentle belly rub. Whether he’s enjoying a lazy snooze in the sunlight of a nearby window or checking in as you go about your daily chores, Alexander will prove just how great of a companion he can be. Alexander was found as a stray near the Humane League and was happy to be picked up off the ground and given a warm place to stay until a permanent home could be found for him. Alexander is FIV positive which means he has a weakened immune system. As long as he is kept indoors, up-to-date on all of his vaccinations and receives regular check-ups at the vet, Alexander has a long and happy cat life ahead of him. He is already neutered and litter-box trained. Come spend a little time with this friendly feline and find out how great your life could be with Alexander the Great!

This week’s Pet of the Week is Daisy. Now she looks like a fun-loving pup!
Daisy is a joyful, loving dog who loves being surrounded by her people. Whether you and she are enjoying a brisk morning walk or at home happily trading puppy kisses for tummy rubs, Daisy is content to be at your side. Daisy is a six-year-old black Lab mix with a big, huggable body and a happy, fluffy tail. This sweet lady was brought to another local shelter after her previous owner had to be hospitalized before she was transferred to the Humane League. She is already spayed and ready to once again be a much-loved member of a caring family. Because she enjoys being around people so much, Daisy would do best with a family who is home most of the time. Daisy’s sweet personality and ability to be a constant companion will make this wonderful dog a truly amazing addition to your loving family.

I’ll have another Pet of the Week to share with you next Monday. And good news! A few of the previous Pets of the Week have been adopted! Butters, Freyja, and Midnight all found their forever homes! Yay!
