Do any of your grow your own blueberries? We planted one plant a couple of years ago. It’s very small and hasn’t produced much of anything. And by that I mean I think we got 2 blueberries off of it last year. I think the trick is that you have to plant more than one blueberry bush so that they cross pollinate (thank you, bees!) and produce more fruit. This is true of a lot of plants. Anything we have with berries on it, like the hollies, we have more than one of to get the most bang for our buck, or at least for our garden!
Right now there’s a great sale on Little Giant Blueberry plants. When you buy 2 plants for $10 total, they’ll throw in a third plant for free. That should yield a lot of berries which is great because they can be so expensive in the stores. Last year I bought them when they were cheap and froze a whole bunch to use throughout the winter. It would certainly be cheaper to just grow your own! This looks like a great deal. They’d work out to only $3.33 per plant plus shipping.
