It’s wintertime here in Pennsylvania and that means cold weather and dry skin. Skin can get dry in the summer when you’re catching more sun but winter is the worst for me. One thing that can really help combat dry skin is using a good quality, moisturizing soap in the shower so you don’t have to compensate for a drying product with lotion when you get out. Goat Milk Stuff makes soaps that are full of quality, natural ingredients that are good for your skin and keep it healthy and happy!
Goat Milk Stuff is a small, family-owned and operated company located right here in the USA. I love being able to support small business owners and spread the word about their fantastic products! The Jonas family gets the whole crew involved, kids and all, in making their products which consist of mostly soaps but also lip balms, lotion sticks, candles, and more. They actually raise the goats on their land from which the milk comes to create their products. This is the REAL deal!
And you can tell that their products are handmade with care. I got three goat milk soaps to try out and love them! The scents we tried are Cool Citrus Basil and Ginger Lime. My Mom has very dry hands from her work so I shared the Ginger Lime with her and she loved it. She said it was very moisturizing and creamy and left her skin feeling soft and hydrated. I kept the Cool Citrus Basil for myself. Some things you can’t part with. This soap smells SO good! I am a bit of a basil addict and grow a ton of it in our garden in the summer and I just love the combination of that fresh smell combined with the lively citrus scent. It’s a perfect way to get you moving in the morning. Having a special product to use every day actually does get me up out of bed and into the shower instead of hitting snooze just one….more…time. 😉
One thing I really like about Goat Milk Stuff is that they sell their soaps by the full bar ($6) and the half bar ($3.95). They have so many awesome, interesting scents that if you want to try a few it’s nice to be able to do so without having to buy a full bar. We also tries the half bar of Patchouli which smells fantastic. It has a great earthy scent to it and I think the dark black swirls in the soap are so pretty! I have bee using the half bar of Purity Scrub on my kids. My son seems to have sensitive skin and this soap has no fragrance in it, just raw goats milk and rolled oats. It’s been great for him this winter and is keeping his skin soft and healthy. And it really lasts! I’ve been using the same bar for a long time and it’s still going strong. Granted he’s a little guy, but I really feel like you get your money’s worth with this soap!
Goat Milk Stuff also makes some other body care products that are fantastic. They sell lotion sticks that are just perfect for keeping in your purse or car (though I’m not sure I’d do that in a hot car in the summer). I’ve kept mine with me in my purse all winter and really like that I always have lotion with me but don’t have to worry about it coming open and making a mess. I also let my Mom try some of this and she totally loved it on her dry hands! I got the Honeysuckle scent and it smells sweet and fresh without smelling too sweet or fake. Just the right amount of fragrance. And it really moisturized well and is so easy to apply, no sloppiness or greasiness. I even felt like it continued to work through hand washings. Because they’re not diluted with water the way liquid lotions are a little will go a long way. I’ve been using this for a couple of months and still have a lot left!
Finally I was able to try their lip balm. My poor daughter had some seriously chapped lips this winter so I gave this to her to keep in her desk at school. And her lips look great now, no more dryness! We got the Lime scent to try and it smells bright and fresh. It’s a perfect pick-me-up for your smile! I love that there are no chemicals or preservatives in these, and they’re only $3!
If you have dry skin or want to use more natural products on yourself or your kids, check out Goat Milk Stuff! We were very impressed with their products and their effectiveness. A lot of times handmade soaps and lotions like this are astronomically priced. I really like that they’ve made them affordable for everyone who wants to use healthier skin care products. Be sure to follow Goat Milk Stuff on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to be the first to find out about their latest products and promotions.
