The clock is ticking Christmas shopping! Are you done, or are you like me and swimming in a sea of boxes and have no idea what you’ve ordered and what you still have left to buy? Listen up: We’re going to get our act together and figure it out ASAP so we can wrap this up and go enjoy the holidays! Verizon is a one-stop shop for people who love tech gifts (hint: that’s basically everyone). And if you know people are still shopping for YOU, give them a hint. I just created this hilarious video to provide a little friendly guidance to my husband. You can make your own personalized wishlist video too!
To wrap up your shopping, hit your local Verizon store for some unique ideas. Of course everyone is going to be happy with the new Pixel 2 phone (exclusive to Verizon!) but there are items in every price point for all ages that are sure to be a hit. Here are my top picks.
5 Gift Ideas for Techies at Verizon
I’m going to share my top picks for gifts that people on my list (and myself!) would love, but you can see Verizon’s gift guide here with even more great suggestions.
Google Pixel 2
Exclusive to Verizon, the Google Pixel 2 is a new release and it’s freakin’ AWESOME! I have this phone and probably the#1 thing I use my phone for is to take and share photos. The photo quality on the Pixel 2 is insane. It’s SO detailed, so great even in low lighting. I actually think it outperforms my nice camera a lot of the time. This is a higher-end gift, but if you’re looking in that price range, someone will be thrilled to find this under the tree. Verizon is currently offering a bit of a discount so ask about that in the store.
FitBit Charge 2
I have a FitBit Charge 2 that I love. Being more active is a constant goal of mine (I work in a chair all day, so….) and actually having a constant reminder of how much I’ve moved, or haven’t moved, right on my wrist really does get me up and on my feet more. This is a perfect gift for someone who might be setting a New Year’s resolution to be more active and fit, and it’s stylish too! The FitBit Charge 2 comes with a variety of band color options.
Google Home Mini
Love this, because the Google Home Mini is only about $30! It’s a hands-free, voice-activated speaker that serves as your own personal Google. Ask questions, tell her to play music, or tell you a joke. These are perfect for the kids (so they’ll leave yours alone!). Think of it like a smaller version of the Google Home assistant. Such a cool gift idea and a great price point!
Next Thermostat E
This is a gift I’m thinking of for my husband who loves smart-home stuff. The Nest Thermostat E lets you control the heating and cooling schedule in your home with the Nest App on your phone. The Nest will actually learn your routine after a few days and automatically make adjustments. Not only is it attractive and subtle, it’s a fun new gadget for your tech lover, and it seriously saves you money in the long run by saving on energy costs. A great gift idea!
GizmoPal® 2
The GizmoPal 2 is a fun gift for the kids AND for you. This is a ‘watch’ that your child wears that allows you to stay in touch with them when they’re away from you. Quickly make calls to and from the GizmoPal 2. Locate it from your phone, so you know where your child is, or get notifications if your child crosses set GPS boundaries. A really nice, attractive safety device for kids that might let you give them a little more wiggle room, moms! Something I’m sure they’ll be happy about.
What gifts would you add to my list for your tech-loving family and friends?
