This morning Tootsie was a little tricky to find. My daughter finally spotted him up high on a dresser in my bedroom, chillin’ with this stained glass cat light. He’s all set up with a cat toy and a bunch of treats. Little guy makes friends wherever he goes, doesn’t he?
I just wish he wasn’t so messy. Seriously. It’s like every day I have to clean up a Tootsie mess. Who in the right mind would dump cat treats everywhere, smear Nutella all over his face, put his feet in hot chocolate, or write on the mirror with lipstick? Sometimes I hate myself in the morning. But the kick the kids get out of it usually makes it worth it. And look at that cute little elf, feeding a pretend cat. I can hear Tootsie now: “Who you callin’ pretend, lady?” 😉
Come see me again tomorrow to find out what Tootsie’s up to! You can find all my past Elf on the Shelf posts here. Follow my Elf on the Shelf board on Pinterest to get even more ideas, and if you don’t have an elf for your family, get one on Amazon. This is by far them most FUN family Christmas tradition we have!
