This morning we found Tootsie taking care of business. He has a cute little potty that he put right on the bathroom counter and with his sideways glance he’s looking in the direction of our bathroom toilet. Because sometimes someone needs to keep an eye on my son who doesn’t like to stop what he’s doing and go to the bathroom. Tonight when I had him go potty before bed he was having a small fit, “I’m trying to pee but I just CAAAAAANNN”T!!” (He peed 2 seconds after he sat down.) My daughter chimed in, “Yeah, Leo, well Tootsie is watching you. He can see you on the potty, ya know?” And my HUSBAND says, “Yeah! That’s why I put him there!”
Oh. Elf. Fail.
“What? You PUT Tootsie there?”
No, my husband said. That’s not what he said (that’s totally what he said). “I said, that’s why Tootsie sat there, so he could watch Leo.” Nice save buddy. I can’t believe the kids didn’t question you further after that one. You got lucky, love!
*UPDATE* Look at what Tootsie left for us! We found this the next morning. That little STINKER! ha!
