Elf on the Shelf: Where Is Tootsie Today? {11/30/12}

Today we found that Tootsie occassionally takes his title of Elf on the Shelf quite literally.  Here he is, on a shelf.  This shelf is in our foyer so it actually took the kids a little while to find him.  He’s got a special something on his head!

He’s wearing a little Steelers helmet!  Obviously this was my husband’s awesome idea.  He’s the only guy I know with a collection of miniature footballs helmets.  No, I have no idea where they came from or what we’re doing with them in our house.  But hey, they sure came in handy today!  This morning we went on a road trip to Pittsburgh (check out what we did today!) so this was Tootsie’s way of sending us off.  Now, I had this genius idea that I was going to sneak Tootsie off to Pittsburgh with us and have the kids find him in the hotel, etc. etc.  Of course I forgot him and left him at home.  I’m thinking this is a blessing in disguise because there’s a more than fair chance that I’d have left him in the hotel and *that* would have been a serious problem.  Now all I have to worry about is being the first one in the house to move that Elf before the kids see he’s been in the same spot for two days.  Stay tuned for how that goes….

Come see me again tomorrow to find out what Tootsie’s up to!  You can find all my past Elf on the Shelf posts here.  Follow  my Elf on the Shelf board on Pinterest to get even more ideas, and if you don’t have an elf for your family, get one on Amazon.  This is by far them most FUN family Christmas tradition we have!
