Are you still shopping around for the perfect skin care products?  I am always looking for something that will work wonders and like to try new things to improve my skin.  At age 34 I’m not getting any younger.  *sigh*  I know I’m not that old, but I think I was only 17 a couple years ago.  Time does fly.

I had the opportunity to review a new set of skin care products that provide a comprehensive system for caring for your skin.  éclos Skin Care is unique in that it includes a Apple Stem Cells from a rare Swiss apple that is shown to stimulate skin stem cells, which makes your skin look younger.  Wow.  An apple a day isn’t just an old wives tale!  Throw in plant extracts, vitamins, and anti-oxidants for a combination that really is good for your skin.

There are six different skin care products in this kit, plus a great terrycloth headband that is perfect for keeping your hair out of your face when you’re washing up before bed.  Let me tell you about each of the products in the order that I used them:

Facial Cleanser Skin Prep
This cleanser contains high-potency apple stem cells extracted from the rare Swiss apple, Uttwiler Spätlauber, plus PhytoPlex24™, a proprietary mix of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant botanicals to balance skin’s pH.  I really liked this cleaser.  It was very gentle and lathered up great.  I felt like my face was getting clean but not totally dried out.

Instant Radiance Facial Scrub
In addition to the beneficial ingredients found in the cleanser, this scrub contains Palmitoyl Glycine, Vitamin E, and finely milled salt to exfoliate skin.  You can use this once a day, every other day, to even out your skin texture and remove dead skin cells.  I liked this product, too, though I felt it was almost too gentle for me.  If you have sensitive skin and need a very gentle exfoliator, this would be perfect.  I like to use something grittier to really exfoliate.  The salt in this scrub seemed to dissolve in warm water almost immediately so I didn’t get much friction out of it at all.

Cellular Activator Face Serum
This was one of my favorite pieces of the kit.  This serum contains Matrixyl® 3000, a combination of two pentapeptides,Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, which promote collagen production while stimulating the growth of connective tissue.  So in layman’s terms, it helps get rid of your fine lines and wrinkles.  Sounds good to me!  This is a very lightweight serum that absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feeling a little bit firmer, but not tight and uncomfortable.

Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream
This is the daily moisturizer in the eclos Skin Care kit.  I really liked this one, too.  It contains Shea Butter so it’s very hydrating, but it wasn’t greasy.  It aborbed really well and went on smoothly and evenly.

Restorative Eye Cream
In addition to the other good-for-you natural ingredients found in the other products, this eye cream contains caffiene, known to decrease puffiness.  I liked this product, but for me, it was a little too heavy.  I could use it as a night cream, but not during the day, especially if I wanted to wear make up.  I also had trouble using this eye cream because the pump was broken on my sample so I had to take the top off and try to tap it out onto the palm of my hand.  Not very effective, but I was able to use it to review it.  I don’t think I’ll be able to get much more out of that bottle, though.

Skin Renewal Clay Mask
The mask was also one of my favorite products in the eclos Skin Care kit.  It’s a natural clay mask, made with Kaolin to help draw out impurities and clear skin of excess oil.  It works great and it works quickly. When I used it the mask dried within 5 minutes or so.  I washed it off and my skin felt firmer and cleaner, but not tight. You can use this up to twice a week.  Definitely going to continue using this mask!

All of the éclos Skin Care products are scented with a clean and fresh blend of all-natural essential oils including rosewood, ylang ylang, palmarosa, cardamom, and geranium.  They do smell clean and not chemically at all. However, I have to point out that though they contain many all-natural, good-for-you ingredients, there are a few ingredients I discovered on the box that aren’t as desireable: Titanium Dioxide in the mask, phenoxyethanol in the scrub and moisturizer, and Sodium Hydroxide in the eye cream.  I would have liked the products even more had they found a way to keep those chemicals out of them.

Overall this is a great set of skin care products.  I like that it’s a really comprehesive routine addressing all your skin care issues in one package.  éclos Skin Care is generously offering one of my readers an eclos Anti-Aging Skin Care Starter kit!  There is only one mandatory entry: Read my review and leave a comment on this blog post telling me which of the six skin care products you’re most excited to try. Enter to win here!

I was provided with an eclos Skin Care Starter Kit to facilitate this review.  The opinions in this post are 100% mine.  You can read my full disclosure policy here.
