We’re pretty big tea drinkers in my house, particularly my husband who drinks at least a cup every day. I am excited to partner with Pique Tea to bring you a review of their products (and recipe – yum!). This is truly the most unique and convenient way to enjoy tea that I’ve ever seen. Read on to see what makes it so special.
Pique Tea Is Different
When you think about tea, you think about firing up the stove to heat water in a kettle and letting your tea bag steep for a few minutes, right? That’s not what this is. You can make tea INSTANTLY with Pique Tea.
I love how its packaged too, in these little sachets. Pique Tea comes in a variety of flavors including Sencha Green, Jasmine, and Earl Grey Tea. Try them all with the variety sampler. Now the really cool part is what’s inside those packets.
Here’s what they do: They brew the highest quality organic loose leaves and when they have the perfect brew, they discard the leaves and distill the tea into pure tea crystals. So these little sachets of Pique Tea are actually completely natural, organic, unsweetened, TEA. And that’s it – nothing else!
The best part is how easy it is to make. Literally just pour a packet into water, hot or cold – your choice, and stir. It will dissolve and you can raise your glass. Do you know what this means? It means you can take tea anywhere now! Tuck some in your purse to have to mix with your water at work, while traveling, or at a restaurant where a glass of iced tea costs like $2.50. (You can get 14 sachets per carton for $7.98 of Pique Tea. $.57 each, FYI. #deal)
Easy Black Tea Sangria Recipe
Summer drinks are my favorite drinks and not only did we love the Pique Tea right out of the pouch for its consistent and perfect flavor, but because it’s so easy to prepare it’s also very versatile.
And who doesn’t love sangria? Well I do so I made some for us. You’re welcome.
This is really simple to make. You have to chop up a little fruit, but big chunks and no peeling anything so it goes fast. Here are the ingredients, and feel free to jazz it up with your favorite wine and fruits. Definitely include some citrus in there but otherwise, get creative!
Once you’ve combined the ingredients you want to put it in the fridge for a minimum of 3 hours and up to overnight. That’s the hard part. The waiting. (Tom Petty reference for the win right there.)
But I can assure you, this is worth the wait! Black Tea Sangria is fantastic and such a fun drink to serve to your friends. Here’s the recipe:
Stir the packets of Pique Tea into the water until dissolved. Add the sugar and stir again until dissolved. In a large pitcher, combine the tea and the white wine. Add the liqueur. Stir to combine. Add the fruit and stir. Refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours. Flavors will be better if you can refrigerate longer, ideally closer to 8 hours. You may need to add more sweetener depending on how sweet of a wine you choose and how sweet you like your drinks. Feel free to add it to each glass as you serve. I put a little honey in mine and it was perfect. My husband liked it as-is.

When you make a regular glass of Pique Tea you use 8oz. of water per one sachet of tea crystals. I wanted this to be a bit more concentrated so I did a 3:4 ratio of water to tea. You can really taste the tea in this drink which we loved about it.
The fruit is SO good after soaking in that yumminess for hours. Be sure to get a fork and eat that right up when you’re done sipping.
We’re so impressed with this tea. I love it for a gift idea, too. It’s definitely going to find its way into some stockings in my family this holiday season. Learn more about Pique Tea on their website and by following on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
