Easy Black Tea Sangria Recipe
Summer drinks are my favorite drinks and not only did we love the Pique Tea right out of the pouch for its consistent and perfect flavor, but because it’s so easy to prepare it’s also very versatile.
And who doesn’t love sangria? Well I do so I made some for us. You’re welcome.
This is really simple to make. You have to chop up a little fruit, but big chunks and no peeling anything so it goes fast. Here are the ingredients, and feel free to jazz it up with your favorite wine and fruits. Definitely include some citrus in there but otherwise, get creative!
Once you’ve combined the ingredients you want to put it in the fridge for a minimum of 3 hours and up to overnight. That’s the hard part. The waiting. (Tom Petty reference for the win right there.)
But I can assure you, this is worth the wait! Black Tea Sangria is fantastic and such a fun drink to serve to your friends. Here’s the recipe:
This Easy Black Tea Sangria Recipe is so simple to make and full of delicious flavor. A perfect summer drink recipe to share with your friends. Stir the packets of Pique Tea into the water until dissolved. Add the sugar and stir again until dissolved. In a large pitcher, combine the tea and the white wine. Add the liqueur. Stir to combine. Add the fruit and stir. Refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours. Flavors will be better if you can refrigerate longer, ideally closer to 8 hours. You may need to add more sweetener depending on how sweet of a wine you choose and how sweet you like your drinks. Feel free to add it to each glass as you serve. When you make a regular glass of Pique Tea you use 8oz. of water per one sachet of tea crystals. I wanted this to be a bit more concentrated so I did a 3:4 ratio of water to tea. You can really taste the tea in this drink which we loved about it.
The fruit is SO good after soaking in that yumminess for hours. Be sure to get a fork and eat that right up when you’re done sipping.
