I confess, I have a shoe obsession. I was born this way. It run in my family and my sister and I battle for the title of most afflicted. (Mom, you run a close second.) Every time we get together the eyes go directly to the shoes. Who’s got new shoes? Where did you get those? Let me try them on. It’s a shoe party and we love it. So I was more than a little excited over Easter when we went to my Mom’s house for some egg hunting fun when I noticed my sister’s eyes on my shoes. “Now what are these shoes, Lindsay.” Oh yeah. Score one for me in the battle for the coolest kicks. I was wearing my new Dawgs Spirits, a new favorite brand of mine that I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to introduce all of you to. Let me tell you why I love them.
They look cool. Face it, if you don’t like the way your shoes look, it doesn’t matter if they’re comfy. Everybody wants to have cool looking shoes (don’t they?!?) and these Spirits fit the bill. They’re just unique enough to be different-awesome, not different-weird. And they come in a ton of colors so you can choose what matches your personal style best. I grabbed the black with soft pink (yup, let my daughter choose!) and I love this color. Black shoes go with everything and the pink snazzes it up just enough to be fun but not Pinkalicious-esque.
Dawgs Spirits are so lightweight. These are perfect for outdoor activities, especially in the summertime. There’s no clunking around in a heavy, sweaty shoe. And you can get these wet so they’re great for hiking, playing in the creek with the kids, or just getting a little silly with the garden hose.
Rubber soles mean you won’t slip or scratch your floors. Dawgs Spirits have a rubber sole that won’t scuff up your floors (leave that job the kids who are oh-so-good at it). They’ve got tread that keeps you from going flying on a wet surface, too. Perfect, right?
Wear them with or without socks. Versatility is the name of the game. You can wear these shoes with socks, widening the opening with the velcro strap if needed. Or go sockless. I have to say I was a little worried about the sweat factor, but my feet didn’t sweat in this shoes until I had been wearing them inside for hours. (I really did review the heck out of these shoes. 😉 )
Spirits are comfortable. Oh my, are they ever. They have great arch support and don’t flop around on your foot, begging you to twist an ankle. Somehow Dawgs nailed the fine line between a flexible shoe and a supportive shoe. Many shoes that bend easily provide no support, and many shoes that provide a lot of support are pretty rigid. These are neither. They’re a perfect balancing act between the two.
There are lots of reason to love these shoes. They’re comfy, they’re supportive, they’re super cool looking, and you get to up your game in the family shoe war. (Hey, it’s a friendly war and we enjoy it.) Check out the entire selection of Dawgs Spirits to see all the available colors to choose from. Follow Dawgs on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to speed with all their latest products and promotions.

You think? I love them! They’re definitely different, and they’re super comfy and really cool looking. I wear them all the time and I’m kind of a shoe snob. To each their own, though!
