We’re a family of snackers so I try to be pretty careful about what snacks we have on hand. This is the reason we joined Costco recently: cheap produce. I always have tons of fruit in the house for the kids to reach for when they need (another) snack, but we like to mix it up too.
So this weekend I threw together this batch of Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Chickpeas. They are so good and they were so easy to make. I even planted the herb garden in the middle of making them!
Give them a try and you might find a new snack to chow down on, too. Good stuff right here! (And way healthier than a bag ‘o chips!)
Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Chickpeas Recipe

Yum! This Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Chickpeas recipe is so easy to make & so delicious. A healthier food choice, perfect for snacks, appetizers, or party food!
Ingredients
- 1 15 oz. can chickpeas
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Pour the can of chickpeas out into a colander and rinse with cold water really well. Tap out the excess water and pour the chickpeas onto a double layer of paper towels. Pat dry with more paper towels and allow to sit for about 10 minutes. You want them to be as dry as possible before roasting.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the chickpeas are dry, dump them onto a baking sheet. I line mine with a silicone liner.
Roast for 15 minutes. While they're cooking combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Remove from oven and drizzle the olive oil over them. Use a spoon to move them around and completely coat all of the beans with oil.
Sprinkle all of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the beans and use the spoon to mix them around until all beans are well-coated. Try to spread them out into a single layer.
Place the baking sheet back into the oven and roast for an additional 15-20 minutes.
Allow to cool before eating.
Store at room temp in a sealed container. They're best on day 1!
