Hershey’s Chocolate Dessert Buffet
My family was invited to the Hershey’s Chocolate Dessert Buffet last Friday evening, which is hosted at the gorgeous The Hotel Hershey. We have stayed there a couple of times and it’s honestly my favorite hotel ever. So fancy, it feels special the second you walk through the doors. Guests dine in the middle of the Fountain Lobby. It’s a beautiful room and for this event, it has both a real fountain and a chocolate fountain!
This event is family friendly, and my two kids LOVED it. It’s basically an all-you-can-eat buffet of the best chocolate desserts you’ve ever tasted. There are stations throughout the room and we started with the hot chocolate with REAL whipped cream (one of those white bowls is full of whipped cream, one full of marshmallows). This table also had delicious cookies. Red Velvet Crinkles were my favorite!
My daughter and I are obsessed with macarons so we kind of freaked out when we saw these mini bites of heaven.
Don’t ask how many we ate. I will only confirm that every single flavor is divine!
ha! This was my first round at the buffet. There is no shame in eating all the chocolate at this event. That’s why everyone is there, which makes it so much fun! So many of us were walking around taking pictures of the pretty displays of tasty desserts. We kind of bonded over the chocolate.
The lighting isn’t the best for photos (it’s perfect for a comfortable dining atmosphere, though!) but I had to share these little Peanut Putter Pies with you. If you know me at all, you know I’m a peanut butter freak – I eat a LOT of it. And these pies were sooooo good! Mmm, I can still taste that creamy, delicious peanut butter filling.
At one point we did get full. It happens to even hardcore chocoholics. But until then, we did our best to sample every little thing being offered. The good part is that everything is pretty small and bite-sized, so you could easily try a nice variety.
My kids each hit the ice cream station, too! They had a lot of fun toppings for them to create their own sundaes. And what child can resist a cupcake with a pile of frosting on top?
The chocolate fountain was probably the most fun for them. The dippers included fresh strawberries, pineapple chunks, pretzel rods, pound cake squares, and large marshmallows. Amazingly, my kids both went for the fruit!
My husband and I were watching them dip their strawberries from our table and they both had the biggest smiles on their faces. In addition to enjoying every little bite of delectable chocolate, we just had FUN together as a family. And check out that girl’s macarons. This one is mine!
Just before we hit our limit, we had to try the homemade s’mores station with these delicious graham squares, homemade marshmallows, chocolate spread, and bananas foster on top. Ah-mazing! This was like no s’more we’ve ever had before! I love how Hershey puts a unique spin on everything to make it their own.
We had such a great family night at Hershey’s Chocolate Dessert Buffet. Obviously the chocolate was divine, but the whole atmosphere and fun of the event made it a great family memory making time, too.
Chocolate-induced smiles all around!
