I am not really a big fan of lunch meat in general. It almost never seems to resemble real meat and so much of it is full of nitrates and other junk. As much as I love a turkey sandwich and would like to pack them for my kids’ lunches once in a while I pretty much steer clear because of the health factor. Recently one of my favorite cooks that I follow on Instagram started posting the most delicious healthy plates of veggies and lunchmeat that she has for lunch and I asked her what kind it was. It looks so good! She said it’s Boar’s Head so I had to check it out. Boar’s Head makes a bunch of heart-healthy deli meats and I’m so excited that I can add this back into our menu without sacrificing good, healthy choices for my family.
Boar’s Head heart-healthy deli meats are available in many different varieties. If you like turkey, chicken, ham and even roast beef you’re in luck! I was most interested in some of the turkey meats but wow, the EverRoast Oven Roasted Chicken Breast looks so good! I would love to try that one. I’m actually working on a grocery list right now and Boar’s Head is on it! My kids like to take a sandwich once in a while for lunch and these meats are perfect for fast, easy lunches (three cheers from me on that one!) that are still healthy. Perfect!
Having a heart-healthy diet is important for a long, quality life. And who doesn’t want that? Heart disease runs in my family so although I freely admit I indulge the sweet tooth more often than I should, I always try to make good choices with the meals I feed my family.
