I received a complimentary Bigstock photo print and frame to facilitate my review. The opinions in this post are 100% mine. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
I usually use my own photos for my blog posts but sometimes I need something more professional or something I just can’t shoot myself. So stock images are a lifesaver. Bigstock has a HUGE selection of stock images for every possible occasion. I was invited to check them out and they actually sent me a print of one of their stock images, this cool Grunge Map of the World.
Such a cool print! I love it. My husband makes maps so we both thought this was really perfect for us, and we just painted our bedroom and needed something to dress up the walls.
Still more barren space to deal with there but it looks great, right? We really love it. And this is only one of the gazillion fantastic images you can find on Bigstock. Though I was sent a print of theirs to review, what I really want to share with you is their online stock image gallery. I totally love it!
Their site is so easy to use. Can you tell I’ve got warmer weather on the brain? The first search I did was for summer beach photos and this is the first page of images that popped up. Aren’t they awesome? So beautiful, and I love that so many of them have blank space that would be just perfect for adding text and creating that perfectly pinnable image on a blog post.
This is the fun part! Bigstock is offering a free 5-day trial to everyone! I just finished mine so I can tell you exactly how this works. It’s SO easy (and tons of fun!).
To start your free trial:
- Go here and enter your email address to create an account. You’ll get an email prompting you to create a password.
- You will have to enter your credit card number to start your trial. When the 5 days is up, you will be charged for a subscription unless you cancel, which you can do at any time. TIP: If you definitely want to cancel after your trial, find a buddy to sign up with. You’ll both be on the same 5-day schedule and can remind each other to get your pics on day 5 and then cancel. This worked like a charm for me.
- Each day starting on Day 1, the day you create your account, choose 10 Bigstock images that you like, add them to your cart and download them to your computer.
- On Day 5, if you don’t wish to continue with a subscription, grab your 10 photos and then cancel. (See below for a screenshot.)
Canceling is really easy, no hoops to jump through. Sign into your account, click on ‘Cancel Subscription’ and you’re done. They do ask a couple of questions about how you liked the service which you can choose to answer or not (takes 2 secs) and that’s it. Easy peasy, no strings, no catch. Now, if you DO have a use for a lot of stock photos, their subscription rates vary depending on how many photos you need and their prices are really good, very reasonable and I just love their selection of images.
These are just a few of the images I chose during my free trial. Of course the images are much larger on their own but I shrunk them down into a collage to show you a bunch at once.
I’ve already used one of my images in this blog post on the 5 Things I Can’t Live Without As A Mom. Cool, right? I love how it came out!
If you have a need for stock images, and let’s be honest – if you have a website you probably have a need – Bigstock Photo is the place to go. Professional quality images do SO much for your site and they have a gazillion beautiful pics to choose from for any possible occasion. Be sure to grab that free trial subscription I mentioned above, and follow Bigstock on Facebook and Twitter and G+ to be the first to hear about their latest happenings!
Bigstock is generously offering one of my readers the same photo print that I was given to review. Cool!! This giveaway will end on March 21, 2014. You can enter to win [HERE].
