Learn from the Pros: New Best Buy Photography Workshops

This post may contain affiliate links. View my disclosure policy for details.

I have been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. The opinions in this post are 100% mine.  You can read my full disclosure policy here.

Raise your hand if you have a fancy DSLR camera and still don’t really know how to fully use it. Hands waving high over here. I have two of them! And while I can take some really nice photos with them, I know there’s so much more I could do better if I had the skills.

Best Buy understands this is a pretty common issue for emerging photogs like us, so they’ve put together photography workshops. Genius! There are two types, so read more below and see what would work best for you.

Best Buy Photography Workshop Tours

Have a fancy new camera but you're still not sure how to make the most of it? Check out these Best Buy photography workshops to get hands-on instruction!

Best Buy Photography Workshop Tours offer intermediate-level instruction where you actually go out and about with a pro and learn the ropes in real life, not behind a desk. They are available in Seattle, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa, New York City and Minneapolis on July 28, 2018.

These are half-day excursions where you’ll get the chance to work with pro photographers and Best Buy Camera Experience Shop experts to conduct 4 individual photo shoots.  You’ll get to test and try an array of lenses and accessories to REALLY dive into what your camera (and you!) are capable of. Learn to think like a pro and your shots will all be framers!

At the end of the day, in addition to lunch, you’ll get a bag of camera goodies. PLUS,  if you share your photos on social media with the #BestBuyPhotoWorkshops you’ll be entered to win Best Buy gift cards or a dream photography package!

What’s the fee? Just $50, which I think is an awesome deal. You’ll easily make this up with the giveaways, lunch, transportation, and the priceless opportunity to work with pros! Check it out and sign up here. (More workshops coming in October and January!)

Best Buy In-Store Photography Workshops

Have a fancy new camera but you're still not sure how to make the most of it? Check out these Best Buy photography workshops to get hands-on instruction!

If you’re more of a beginner and not quite ready for the Tour workshop, in-store workshops might be a better fit.  And, they’re FREE!

Only 2 hours long, these workshops will cover the photography basics and allow you 1:1 interaction with Best Buy Camera Experience Shop Experts to walk through your camera’s settings. Mine has so many settings and I use about 3 of them, so I could really benefit from this class!

Not familiar with the Best Buy Camera Experience Shop? It’s essentially like visiting a specialty camera store, right in the middle of your local Best Buy. They have expert help who go through intensive photography training and are all photo enthusiasts themselves. There is also an expanded assortment of cameras, lenses & accessories that you won’t find in other locations. Plus you can get hands on with all the cameras & test and try them in the store!

Once you’re done, take the next step into the upcoming Photography Workshop Tours on 10/20 and 1/19. You can sign-up to be notified when these go live for registration in the fall/winter.
