Be Smart About Beating the Heat This Summer

I'm sharing a few tips to help you be smart about beating the heat this summer. Being proactive is always better than being reactive when it comes to comfort! #summertime #homerepair #homecare #sears#HouseExperts #SearsHVAC

That Time I Almost Melted Last Summer

Let me tell you a story about the summer when I almost melted. This was just last year, and it was HOT. We were in the middle of a heat wave, and as luck would have it, our air conditioner stopped working. Of course it did.

Thankfully it was a simple problem, something with a coil of some sort, and we were able to get it repaired pretty quickly after we realized the temperature in our house was on the rise. That was also after we decided this was a good excuse to indulge in a lot of ice cream to stay cool! One problem leads to another, doesn’t it?

Lesson learned. My husband is a pro at remembering to change the furnace filter on a regular basis (just look at that chart dating back to 2006!), but clearly there was a need for some more maintenance on our HVAC unit to keep us comfortable during these scorching summers. If your AC is leaking water, not cooling, the fan isn’t running, or you just know it’s not functioning properly, below are some helpful tips to prevent you from ending up in my shoes.

Sears Home Services To The Rescue

Do you like how I called the problem with our air conditioning ‘a coil of some sort’? I have no clue about this stuff. I just know I don’t want to be hot in the summertime, or cold in the wintertime.

Thankfully Sears Home Services HVAC Savings Program can take over where my lack of HVAC skill leaves off. They are equipped to repair, replace, and maintain heating and cooling systems so that you don’t end up like I did…melting. The Sears Home Services team are the House Experts, and we can trust that they know their stuff.

Here’s the really cool part: If you’re ready to replace your HVAC system, the Sears Home Services’ experts will come to your house for FREE, and consult on what kind of system is best for your home and your budget.

BONUS: Ready to get on this now? Sears currently has a nice savings available: Save $325 on new HVAC purchase of $1,500 or more! This offer expires 8/31/18. Not valid on prior sales or in combination with any other offer. Purchase requirement before taxes and after other discounts and must be made in a single transaction.

Sears Home Services’ HVAC Savings Program: Smart Savings

If you aren’t really ready to fully replace your HVAC system, but know it could use a tune up or some general maintenance (seriously, don’t let this slide like I did), Sears Home Services has an awesome HVAC Savings Program.

The program is totally FREE to join, and here’s how it works:  Every paid HVAC repair and maintenance performed by Sears Home Services automatically credits to your account, and your balance is waiting for you when you’re ready for a new HVAC system.

This is like doubling your money if you ask me. Every dollar you invest in maintaining your current system also saves you a dollar on a new HVAC system when the time comes to replace yours, up to 10% off the purchase price. Plus you can combine that with other offers and coupons! Isn’t that an awesome deal?

How to Schedule Your FREE In-Home Consultation

This is a no-brainer if you’re ready to replace your HVAC system. It’s FREE! Can’t beat that! Schedule your free in-home consultation with a Sears Home Services expert and see what they recommend for you.
